Third pov

Sunny was always in charge of getting Gregory for bed every night, helping him brush his teeth, getting pajamas on, and finally tucking him and turning off the lights. After the lights go out though, Moon would go back to Gregory to tuck him in once more and sing him a lullaby. The song always put Gregory to sleep easily, which made sense seeing in the past Moon was in charge of nap time at the daycare.

After singing, Moon would go around the apartment, checking to make sure the windows and front door were locked. Then they'd check on the other animatronics before each got ready to power down for the night. They didn't have to stay up to protect everyone but they did, slightly due to Sunny's worries of losing them.

The nights were fairly easy to get through, only once in awhile Gregory would need to use the bathroom at night or get a glass of water. It wouldn't bother Moon as long as they made sure the child was safe and would go back to bed.

One night though Moon was alerted by Gregory crying. Moon rushed to his room, then turned to go get Freddy since Gregory seemed to find the most comfort in him.

"Wait! Moon!" Gregory sobbed, reaching out the nighttime themed animatronic.

This surprised them, never did they expect Gregory to turn to them for comfort. It seemed much more likely with Sunny, but with Moon? Still, they walked over to the scared child.

"Yes?" Moon sat next to Gregory on the bed, who clinged onto their arm, then they asked "what is wrong? You are up past your bedtime"

"I-I know...I had a-a bad dream" Gregory whispered, hiccuping and trying to hold back more tears.

I will punish this dream. Moon thought to themselves, angry that whatever a dream is had caused Gregory to cry and get scared. Though they didn't know that it's pretty much impossible to punish somebody's dream.

"It's okay now, I'll protect you from the bad dream" Moon carefully wrapped Gregory in his blanket then held him close like a baby. Gregory didn't mind it since it helped him calm down.

"Can you sing please?" Gregory asked, letting himself relax.

Moon nodded then quietly began singing a lullaby for the child. They kept singing until he was fully asleep, then laid down with him, curling up around him protectively.

They stayed there the whole night, protecting Gregory and comforting him when he seemed to be having a bad dream. Even when Freddy turned the lights on, Sunny stayed in Moon's position protecting Gregory until he woke up.

"Thank you" Gregory smiled then got out of bed to get ready for the day.

Sunny could barely hold back their yelps of joy, more than happy to see Gregory found comfort in Moon and that they had protected him.

Now anytime Gregory has a nightmare, Moon is there to comfort him and sing him back to sleep.

This was shorter but I do like a lot and I hope you like it too!! I enjoyed writing it!
