"Yahoo!" I yelled as soon as we stopped over at Patapat Bridge. The view was just so good that even if it isn't part of our itinerary, I personally requested it to our tour guide, Roel. "Ilocos Norte, here we come!"

"Ang ingay mo, bestie!" Andra frowned and got out of the car. She has her scarf on and the strands of her hair went to her face as the wind was blowing hard.

"Oy, ang ganda mo dyan, best!" With the phone in my hand, I managed to snap a stolen picture of her.

"Walangya ka talaga! Baka mukhang bruha ako dyan ha!" She complained and tried to tie her hair. It seemed to me that she has trouble doing so so I went to her and hold it for her.

Our eyes met and I don't know why but my heart raced on that instance.

We both looked away and she cleared her throat, "ayusin mo pagkatali ha."

"Opo, Ma'am." I chuckled and gathered her hair behind her. Once there were no loose strands, I tied them with her brown scrunchie. "Ayan! Perfect!"

"Sir, ang ganda po ng pwesto niyo! Kuhanan ko po kayo ng picture ni Ma'am ha!" Kuya Roel commented and we both turned to him.

"Wow, Kuya! Photographer ka rin pala!" I joked and I felt her nudged at me.

"Ay naku, oho. Kailangang kumayod para sa pandagdag sa pangkasal namin ng irog ko." He said, smiling at us.

"Sige po, Kuya." I nodded and held her close to me. We both looked at his camera and smiled, the bridge right behind us.

"Ayos na po, Sir, Ma'am. Tara na po sa next destination?" He asked and we both nodded.

I opened the car door for her at the back and waited for her to get inside before I followed to sit beside her.

"Oh, bakit dito ka na sa likod?" Andra asked in surprise.

"Baka makatulog ako, nakanganga pa naman ako matulog. Kakahiya." I whispered and she giggled.

"Baliw ka talaga, bes." She hissed back and we laughed.

"Saan na po next natin, Kuya?" Andra tried to make a conversation and I rested my head on her shoulder.

I closed my eyes and attempted to sleep.

We left the city about five hours ago and I was really sleepy. It was around 6:00 AM when we arrived at the Patapat Bridge and even if I'm hungry, I was more eager to catch up on sleep.

I woke up to Andra who was quiet beside me. It was then that I realized that she has dozed off as well.

I gently lifted her head and sat up straight. As I was fully awake, I let her rest this time on my shoulder.

I noticed Kuya Roel flashed me a smile at the rearview mirror and I just gave him a thumbs up sign.

He turned on his radio and switched it to mellow songs. I took the time to admire the view outside.

Thirty minutes later, we arrived at Kabigan Falls.

I woke Andra up gently and she yawned in response. She blinked and smiled at me.

"Asan na tayo?" She asked and hugged herself.

"Kabigan Falls na. After this, we'll have our breakfast na." I said and she nodded. She pulled out her compact mirror and checked herself.

The sun's out so we both had our shades with us. Even if it isn't summer, the heat is still felt at this time of day.

"So, ang Kabigan Falls po ay thirty to forty minutes away from the national road. Aabot rin po ng around forty minutes for hiking. Ang tanong ko po, gusto niyo ho bang subukan or hindi?" Kuya Roel asked us.

Judging from Andra's looks who isn't at all that patient from walking that far, I can tell that she isn't good with it.

"Ah, Kuya. Wala po bang iba pang tourist spots bukod dito na pwedeng puntahan? Pwede ho bang hindi na lang dito?" I asked politely.

"Oo naman ho!" He smiled. "Kung ano ho ang gusto niyo, open naman ako sa kung saan mas komportable ang mga kliente namin."

"Pwede ho bang mag-almusal muna tayo tapos pakihatid ho kami sa hotel namin? Medyo, tom jones na ho kasi ako. Hehe." I added and both he and Andra laughed.

"Opo, Sir." He said and we returned to the car.

It took us another thirty minutes to reach one of their famous restaurants, the Bergblick Restaurant, which is about 6.3 kilometers from Kabigan Falls.

They have very great foods that we almost forget that we are only having breakfast. After the sumptuous meal, we were being taken to our hotel in Casa Mare de Rinnovati.

I arranged our itinerary with Kuya Roel so we had a day to ourselves today. He promised to bring us tomorrow to the several tourist spots here in Ilocos which we both are looking forward to.

"Wow! Ang ganda rito!" Andra commented when we reached our rooms.

"I know. And look outside. We have a perfect view of the Saud Beach." I remarked and she ran to her bedroom window.

"OMG! Nawala ang pagod ko!" She said laughing.

"Rest now. We can swim in the afternoon. 7pm pa tayo susunduin ni Kuya Roel." I said and bid goodbye to her.

Yes, we needed this break.

A lot.

A lot
