3rd Person's POV

"I remember seeing a moving vehicle and I was screaming something incorrigible. I was crying.." Lee recalled the memory that has haunted him every time as he sits on a reclining chair in front of the psychologist he regularly attends to.

"How are you feeling after being awakened by it?" Dra. Serena Palma, the twenty-eight year old psychologist, asked him as she jotted them down on her notepad.

"It was a heavy feeling. Masyadong mabigat sa puso. Parang nawala ang kalahati ng buhay ko." Lee confessed and his heart ached once again. He exhaled slowly trying to digest what he had said.

"Maybe, that person was very dear to you." Dra. Serena commented. "Go on. Just let it all out." She urged and he continued describing what happened and what he felt every time it happens.

Minutes after ten in the morning, the session ended and Lee gave her a grateful smile.

"Let's see each other again after a month for your follow-up, will that be fine with you?" Dra. Serena asked and he nodded. "Okay. Are you available by 9:00am on September 5, 2022, Monday?"

"Wait po, Doc. Check ko po schedule ko. Baka may event po kasi akong ishushoot that day." He said and pulled out his phone from his jeans' pocket. Scrolling thru his calendar, he raised his eyes to meet her and said, "yes, Doc. I am free on that day and time."

"Perfect! This is noted and see you after a month!" Dra. Serena said and Lee began to stand.

"Sige po, Doc. Thanks for today." Lee smiled and he walked out of her door.

As soon as Lee left the clinic, Dra. Serena went to her secretary, Nora, and told her to contact Sandra Hamilton to confirm if she will be coming after lunch. Nora did so and after confirming her attendance, she went to inform Dra. Serena about her in her office.

Come lunch time, Dra. Serena told Nora that she will be out to meet and  eat with a friend.

"Hello, Farrah! Finally, you're here!" Dra. Serena exclaimed as she saw her long-time friend for more than two years waiting for her on a vacant table inside a famous dine-in restaurant at the mall.

"Serena! Oh my gosh! I can't believe that the doctor who's Oliver was referring to was you!" Farrah Jacobs shrieked in surprise as well. They hugged each other as it has been a while since they last met and bonded together.

"Teka, order muna tayo. I still have a client to meet at three in the afternoon today." Dra. Serena said, grinning at her. She raised her hand to call for a waiter and when someone approached them, they started scanning through the menu.

"I'll have American barbecue—" Farrah said and was cut off by Dra. Serena.

"— and chocolate mousse." Dra. Serena continued her sentence which they both laughed at.

"Yeah. Narinig mo siya." Farrah said, her eyes glistening with happiness. "And an iced tea also. Thank you."

"Just chicken and macaroni salad for me. And plain water too–" Dra. Serena said and Farrah continued, "—without ice."

"Grabe, mga Ma'am! Kilalang-kilala niyo po ang isa't isa!" The waiter commented smiling at the two of them.

"Of course, she's my long-lost sister!" Dra. Serena said and winked at her. Farrah rolled her eyes and giggled.

"Sige po. I'll return with your orders later. Excuse ho." The waiter said and left them to catch up.

In a matter of fifteen minutes, both of their orders came up and soon, both ladies engaged in a conversation over a good food.

"So, what happened with you? Off record na tayo. It has been a while and I almost lost track of time. But, I am curious." Dra. Serena asked suddenly.

Farrah sighed and shortly after, she found herself airing her thoughts to her. Dra. Serena listened intently and let her speak.

"Do you want to continue it on a professional level? I mean, in my clinic? For privacy also." Dra. Serena suggested and wiped the corners of her mouth with the table napkin.

"Yes, please. I have been dealing with this for over a year. Wala lang akong panahon noon para asikasuhin eto. I assumed I was okay. Until I decided to lie low from showbiz industry." She admitted and  sipped some iced tea before she continued talking. "It would be a big help to talk this out."

"Sure, sis. I will help you with whatever I can." Dra. Serena said and touched her arm sympathetically.

"Oh. I don't want to keep you any longer. I know you still have work later. It's past one already." Farrah smiled and she nodded. "Thanks for meeting with me. I'll see you in your clinic after a month, right?"

"Please do. Wait, I'll get your number before I go." Dra. Serena said and they exchanged digits.

The two gave each other one last hug and separated ways.

As soon as Dra. Serena returned at the clinic, she set an alarm and took her twenty minute nap.

Fifteen minutes before three in the afternoon, her last client for the day arrived.

"Good afternoon, Doc." A smiling and uneasy Sandra Hamilton said.

"Hello, Miss Hamilton. Please feel comfortable and speak whenever you're ready. I will listen." Dra. Serena said and gave her a reassuring smile.

Serena said and gave her a reassuring smile
