Spiker's POV:
After all the things that happened today, I'm scared to sleep... Boss called me and told me everything that happened. It worries me knowing that Rabbit is in danger and that his old boss is back too... I'm mostly just hoping to get out of this hospital when I have the chance. Especially when it's only January I'm still hoping he's okay with his new Mission... It may be his hardest yet.
I looked to my right at the clock. It's 11 pm. I feel tired. But I don't wanna risk dying in my sleep. I want to get out of these cuffs and set free and run away returning to my normal life. I looked forward. The only light I have is the light from outside the room, but the door was covered by the curtains, besides that my other light is my machines to my sides.
I feel weak and hopeless, I can't go anywhere. I can't stand up, I can't even sit up! It was like I was paralyzed but I wasn't, I just want to leave.
I then thought of a plan. I clicked the button to call the nurse, I'm waiting patiently and staring at the curtains. I clicked it again. This time I hear footsteps approaching.
my curtains began sliding aside to reveal who it was. It was a nurse, "Hello, what seems to be the problem?" she asked, "When will I be able to get out of the hospital?"
She smiled at me, "It depends when you're all healed up!"
"Damn it.." I muttered.
"You really wanna leave don't you?"
I nodded and she began walking towards me. "Well let's make a deal?"
"Okay.." I said
"Since you so desperately need to leave, and I find you attractive. There's a simple thing you need to do." I didn't like the way she was speaking. It sounded seductive and I didn't like where this is going. "All you need to do is kiss me." I thought of another quick plan.
"Sure, but then you get me out." she smiled and leaned in, her eyes began closing. I snatched her keys unlocked my cuffs moved away from her face and shoved her face into my pillow almost suffocating her. I whispered in her ear "If you tell anyone about this. I will kill you... Now count to ten slowly..."
I got up and grabbed my stuff from a small counter. It was in a black bag. I walked out slowly staying near the wall. I limped from the wound in my leg. The one in my chest didn't hurt as much.
I heard footsteps approaching I hid in a patient's room. I waited until it passed by.
I snuck out and continued to walk. I looked to my right. It was the entrance. I dashed to it heading outside. I inhaled the cold fresh air. It then hit me. It was cold! What was I thinking?!?!
A car then pulled up. "Hop in, it's cold." it was a woman... She looked oddly... Familiar... She had "Don't worry you can trust me, I'm from the HQ." I felt better but then rushed in the car closing the door once I sat down
I was freezing, she had put the heater on to warm me up too, I held my bag close to my chest. "So what rank are you?" I asked
"I'm a boss." I looked at her. "Also don't worry about you threatening me. I won't give you a warning." I slightly smiled and I felt calm until I realized. "Wait... So many people saw my face..."
"It's fine, as long as they don't know who you are." (if you're confused she meant as long as they don't know he's spiker)
"Where are we going?" I asked. "To my place."
I rested my head on the door and felt tired. "Feel free to take a nap. It's not that far but just sleep for a bit."
I closed my eyes feeling tired... I fell asleep.
15-20 minutes later
I was woken up with a nudge to my shoulder I look up, it was that woman. "We're here." I sat up straight and got out with my stuff closing the door behind me. I looked at the home, it looked normal. It was a type of yellowish brick house, bushes, and a pathway leading to the door.
It then hit me, the cold air hit me. I rushed towards the door shaking from the coldness, the woman walked beside me and stopped by the door beside me.
She opened the door greeting me in. I went inside, it felt nice. The living room looked nice as well. It had 3 couches. A tv, some paintings on the wall. And a tv
I walked around warming up. "My kids are in bed, and my husband comes home in about.. 30 minutes or so."
I turned to face her, "Eh-?! You have a family?"
"Mhm."
"Do they know about... Your job?"
"Nah, they only think I'm a nurse, anyway follow me, we have a guest bedroom trust me you aren't the first person who I invited to stay for a bit."
I followed her down the hallway leading to 3 rooms and a bathroom. She opened a door leading to a room with a queen-size bed, two windows, a dresser, and a mirror, it seemed pretty normal. I walked in and walked towards the bed
"Get dressed into the clothes you have, I'll be coming in later to see your wounds." she then walked out closing the door behind her.
I grabbed my stuff opened my bag, grabbing my clothes. I took off the uncomfortable gown they had to make me wear and put on the clothes I had on before, it had tiny holes leading to where I was shot. I then lay on the bed and began waiting, I felt tired... As if I can sleep without not worrying about him. I yawned and looked to my nightstand, there was a clock. I stared at it trying to keep my eyes open, I heard footsteps and then my door opened, it was that woman she was carrying a basket with stuff in it I sat up tired and yawned yet again
"Don't sleep now, I have to see your wounds first." She placed the basket on the nightstand beside the clock, "lift your shirt." I then lifted it, she began taking off the bandage, it wasn't bleeding thankfully, she grabbed a bottle and poured some of it onto a rag. I immediately knew what would happen.
She wiped it around the wound, it slightly hurt
"The bullets still in there, it didn't pass fully through." I'll try to take it out, but there's a risk that it's too deep to get it out and it'll rip through, you may also bleed out if I do this unless I cover the bleeding area."
"Just get it out please," I asked.
She grabbed some tweezers and cleaned them, once she put them in. It hurt, it burned, in just a matter of seconds she pulled it out and covered the wound. With a rag. A clean rag, "Your bleeding, but not too bad." She grabbed bandages with one hand and wrapped them around taking her hand off my wound.
"Thanks... For doing this." I said
"Eh, no need to thank me, you need to thank the one who saved you." She then taped it down together and went down onto her knees inspecting my leg she rolled up the sleeve of the injured one slowly making sure it doesn't hurt me.
"Oh? Bosses assistant?" I wondered
"Pfft no of course not, it was a past worker we had, he broke a lot of rules, we were about to kill him but he escaped so we let him go hoping that he'll just get caught by the police."
She unwrapped the bandages and took a look,
"Yet again the bullets still in"
"Really? I thought it passed straight through, it felt like it did."
"Oh, that's just the pain wrapped around where it was shot, this one pretty deep. I would need to cut deep to get it out."
I shuddered, just imagining it made me feel kinda sick. She wiped it clean and bandaged it again, "I'm surprised you managed to walk from your hospital room to the exit."
She then got up," I told my husband about you, he'll be home in a little bit."
"Rest for the night, you seem tired." she grabbed the basket and other stuff she left on the bed and left the room. I stood up moved the covers and sat down covering myself with the blanket.
I was very tired, but I still wondered, who had saved me then? I'll ask tomorrow..
