My Mission

Season 2. Ch.5 Surprise, Surprise!

Rabbits POV:

I woke up, Cyrus was laying right next to me. I laid down on my back, the tv was on. "What time is it?" I asked, I sat up.

"I was just about to wake you up actually, its 2:27 PM" I shot up, I rushed out of bed and ran into my room. Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT! I took a few deep breaths and collapsed to the ground, I had overthought about the mission, knowing that its hard and with a chance of dying, wait.. Thats practically the whole risk of the job, its hard with a chance of dying. Im perfectly fine... I smiled and got back up and began thinking, I closed my door and locked it, Im hoping to be home around 11 Pm or so, if not then 2 AM, Im determined to do this mission, I have 3 weeks, I'll get it done in a day or 2.

I began changing clothes and thinking about a plan, I would also need to stop by the headquarters to grab a few more files about the person I'm getting. I then thought about something... This doesn't seem like a job for me, it seems more of a job for spiker... I'll check it out once I get to the headquarters.

I grabbed my mask, a pistol from my drawer with full ammo, leaving my room and rushed downstairs, my legs slightly hurt but I can handle it. I slid on my shoes and opened the door "Hey wher-." Then I closed it and ran, I don't know why but I wanted to rush. I just wanted to get this over with...

By the time I reached the 3rd alleyway I was almost out of breath from running, If a cop saw me I would be finished off. I kept running, even though nothing was chasing me, it felt nice, a soft breeze and a warm weather. I stopped by the doors and unlocked it and went inside, I panted for air and started to walk normally, I walked towards the bosses offices. The running I did for some reason made me feel like myself again.

I knocked, "Come in," I opened the door closing it behind me. "Lock it for me, will you?" I locked it and sat down by his desk. He opened a drawer and went through some files, "Feel free to take off your mask, I wont mind." I looked around, it felt quieter than usual, his assistants werent around... Something felt off. He put a folder on the table, I grabbed it and began opening and reading. It seemed normal as if I was reading the same file he gave me last time, instead something was off, on one of the papers it said something in a different sort of writing, it wasnt a different language for sure

"Bribe = Danger" ...Huh I learned that writing before but I forgot what code that means- Wait.. Bribe = Danger

Bribe = Danger means: A Hitman for a hitman but a scam if the hired hitman for the other kills the other. In other ways Hired Hitman Kill -> Hitman But scam if Hitman Kills -> Hired Hitman. The bribe part means it was forced... I closed the file and stared my boss dead in the eyes. His eyes were slightly widened. He said ever so slightly with moving his lips, "You better win this"

I am about to die...

I am about to die... Those words ran around in my head like a person running around with a asthma attack looking for their inhaler.. He looked up with his pupils, his hands began shaking "Do you want some coffee? You seem uh.. A bit tired." He was signaling that he should leave. He rushed out of his seat and tripped on the floor with a scream. Offices were soundproof..

I looked at him on the ground. A knife through his lower calf leg. I was waiting for the person to strike. I know I have my gun with me, I know I have my mask with me, the ears can harm people, my legs are weak from running and walking everyday, I took one deep breath thinking about my things I have with me, I have 6 bullets. Use them wisely.

"This should be pretty easy, your frozen in shock. I'm guessing you never done this before," That voice... It seems so familiar somehow It was a male voice... I felt his breath against my ear, it drove a shiver down my body "I dont wanna kill you just like this, that would be boring. Dont you think so?"

"Patience is key to success, dont you think?" I said back to him. His breath stopped.

I yanked my head back into him, I felt the pressure hit him as my rabbit ears drove into him. "Agh! You asshole!" I got up quickly and turned around facing the man, I got my gun ready facing it towards him. He had a firm jaw. He had a man bun of some sort and black hair, he seemed around 30 or so. He then came at me, I wasnt fast enough to react, he was fast and strong enough to get me against the wall, it was aggressive, I never realized how strong these walls are until now, My back hurt and I collapsed to the floor, he stood up with a tall figure. I stared down thinking... How did this even become like this... Before I knew it I was kicked in the guts.

I fell over and coughed out blood, gasping. He yanked my mask off by the ears. My body hurt... I got pulled up by my hair. He stared me dead into my eyes. Slight tears rolled down my cheek with pain all over my body, "Such a beauty you are, really is a pity I will have to kill you." I spat in his face, and kneed his crotch. "AGH YOU BITCH!" He fell to the ground in pain. I stumbled towards his knife it, it had fell on the floor, I picked it up and stabbed his left hip,  he screamed in agony. I then went towards my mask picking it up, I put it on and walked over to my boss, I kneeled and grabbed his radio and clicked a button. "Back up to.. cough Mr.Alezki's Office.. Door is locked.. Cough.. This is rabbit speaking.. Hurry.." I clicked it off and fell to my side facing my boss. "You alright, Rabbit?" He asked.

"Yeah.. Gasp cough Just hurts.." Blood was trickling from my mouth onto the ground under my mask, I felt like falling asleep. I tried to stay awake,

"Hey! Hey! Come on stay with me, Rabbit!" My boss slightly shouted, "Im here.. Im here.." I whispered.

My hearing became filled with a ringing sound, blocking out all the other noises around me, I heard a loud bang, and then yelling, I felt the ground shake or vibrate. Something was going on... My eyesight was darkening, Was I closing my eyes... Or was I just going deaf and blind..?
