I barked at the mysterious humans. Terrified. I could feel my legs shaking. I barked again. The little humans looked at me, I can't let them down. I growled and took a step back. The humans tried to charge a me. They were holding spears with a sharp top. The dog squeaked and whined. The humans backed up and said something I don't know. The other human threw a chain around my neck. I tried to swing them, but I was no match. I closed my eyes.
I prayed that my power would come. I didn't know If it was my power or energy but I got more aggressive and bit one of the humans that tried to hurt me. I felt stronger. I howled and the big humans backed away. One of the little humans stroked my neck softly. I felt happy and powerful. I barked and barked at the big humans and the one I bit retreated. The other gave me a look, as if he was saying, "We'll be back!" I growled and he ran away.
I did it. I scared them off. When I turned around the humans broke the chain off of the dog. I wanted to bring them to a safe place but the little humans didn't come with me, they had a family here at the village. So I took the dog with me. She was a picky eater at first but then we got along and she became a part of my family. I had a whole pack, waiting for my parents. I looked at the dog proudly. "What's your name?" I asked.
"Sophie." She said. I smiled. "Nice." I said. "Hey you think we can go walk together?" She blurted out. I looked at her. "Sure!" I said feeling excited. I sprinted out of the den and sniffed at the fresh air. Sophie looked up at the big trees. She then looked at me and smiled. We walked together and I asked her why she wanted to take a walk. "I like taking walks," she said. "I like feeling free." I can't agree more to the dog. She was so tiny and she had black and brown fur.
I heard something rustling in the bushes. I took a step back. Keeping my ears up. "What's wrong?" She squeaked. I growled at whatever was in the bush. Was it a human? Or was it a bear? I couldn't tell but then the rustling stopped. I still kept my ears up and still was frozen still. I could tell Sophie was frightened. I saw something black moving around behind the bushes. A twig snapped when Sophie followed me. Then the black thing jumped out of the bush.
