As Alya and Nino had been awakened really early, the couple was now asleep on Marinette's bed. Marinette had had a silent photoshoot with the two when they were sleeping. They looked so cute together. She could only dream of the day she and Adrien would be sleeping like this. Well, she could at least tease Alya and Nino when they wake up. She laughed at how red she thought their faces would grow. She would definitely show this picture to Adrien. This would not be forgotten. The name of the blonde brought a thought in her head, he should have come by now. She looked at the clock to see that the time was nearing 10:30. That's weird.
The bluenette began pacing around the room in worry. What if Adrien's father refused to let him go at last minute? Or worse. What if he got kidnapped on his way here? Adrien's father would ground him for life again and Marinette would never see him. They would never date or get married and have the big house and 3 children with a pet hamster called... A voice broke Marinette's train of thought which was moving at the frightening speed of probably a 110 mph. It sounded like... Adrien? "Marinette? Open the door," his voice came through the other side of the door once again. Phew! He was here. "Oh thank god you are here. I was starting to worry that you wouldn't come," she said opening the door. Instead of the familiar blonde she was expect to see, she saw something that shook her to the core and not many things can do that. "Adrien?" were her last words before she lost consciousness and the world went black.

10:00 am, the Agreste mansion
Inside the room of the young teen model, Mr. Sunshine was nowhere to be seen. The room appeared to be occupied, with the ruffled blankets and the depression on the couches. Yet, there was no one familiar in the room. That doesn't mean that no one unfamiliar was in the room. There was one person. He looked similar to the famous Adrien Agreste and yet was different. The person's skin was pale, as white as snow. His blonde hair was not as bright and longer than the model's. He stood a little taller and instead of the captivating emerald green eyes, he had ice blue eyes instead. His fashion choice also wasn't that bad. He wore a black full sleeve t-shirt with pale blue jeans and white sneakers. The only visible accessories were a ring on his finger and the scarf that adorned his neck. It provided warmth in the cold winter and also brought out his eyes as the colour matched the colour of his eyes. Most people would say that the scarf was brought to match his eyes, but in reality his eye colour had been changed to match the scarf's colour. Crazy but you know that it is true. He also had this cold aura surrounding him that made you shiver. The said boy was currently seen meditating while hovering a little over the ground. You wouldn't see it if you didn't look carefully. His eyes were closed and his face looked peaceful, like an angel's. He was deep in thought, thinking of ways to get the miraculous. He would get the girl of his dreams easily enough. He was so deep in his mind, he failed to notice that in reality a black creature was hiding in his closet. It was small and yet was very dangerous. I can give only one piece of advice, do not anger him. He was panicking and at the moment decided to ensure his safety. It would be wisest if the kwami stayed with his holder and observed what he was doing.
Going back to the boy, let us go in his mind. Most of his thoughts were about his loved one and the past actions of that boy. The boy was so foolish, he had hurt the poor girl many times without knowing. That boy was really blind, an oblivious good for nothing person. That boy had looks, but didn't have the brains. That boy was Adrien Agreste, son of Gabriel Agreste, a rising fashion icon and world wide sensation. That boy was the past him. He was not Adrien Agreste now. He was not that stupid boy he didn't know anything. He was someone new. He had been reborn and this time he won't disappoint. He will get what he wants and just how he wants it. He will also make sure that his helper, or as he likes to say employer, was satisfied and got what he wanted. He will never disappoint again. He will be perfect, to his father, to Natalie, to Gorilla, to Marinette, to his friends, to his teachers, to Paris, to the world to everyone on this planet. He will make sure the others know his pain. He will make sure they know what he went through. That they knew what was under the façade he had painted of a perfect boy with a perfect life. He is not and will not be Adrien Agreste ever again. He was now Simalcrum and was happy to be so.

"Marinette??? Mari!!!! Ok sleep. I'm going to get water." Huh? Who was Marinette? She didn't know any Marinette. Just go away, there is no Marinette over here. Her head was aching. Let her rest. Suddenly the black turned into a blinding white. Shut off the sun, or whatever light source you have in my eyes. It's disturbing. She opened her eyes to see a place that was pretty familiar, yet she couldn't put a finger on it. It was a huge place with practically everything you could ever want. A basketball ring, a fusball (excuse my spelling) table, a piano, a huge collection of CDs, multiple computers. Just like Adrien's room, she thought. Wait, who was this Adrien? Her mind conjured an image. It was a boy, with beautiful emerald green eyes and blonde hair that seemed to glow in the sun. He was Adrien. Her crush, her best friend. She was Marinette Dupain Cheng. The bluenette who was hopelessly clumsy and yet seemed to be able to be a superhero. That clumsiness was a façade of course. One of the many she had painted. Once upon a time she was clumsy. Now, it was an act so that no one thought she was Ladybug. Good job, consciousness gained she thought. A soft chuckle drew her attention to a person beside her.
He was handsome, no doubt. The pale white skin and beautiful blue eyes. His fashion choice was also really good. He looked really good and was similar yet different than Adrien. A blush crept up her cheeks despite herself and she found herself mentally scolding her in her mind for betraying Adrien. Adrien.... where was he? He should be in this room, maybe this person was his cousin. They did look kind of similar. She attempted to start a conversation. "Ummm... you look pretty good. I have to admit you have good taste." He smiled at her before replying, "Ahh yes. You can say that Marinette. I find people telling me that I have good choice in everything, from clothes to girls." Marinette looked at him while he just chuckled and said. "I prefer to be called Simon. A pretty simple name unlike my real one." Marinette nodded in understanding. She then allowed her inner ladybug to show. "So, you said you have good taste in girls. Anyone special?" He looked surprised before letting the normal face take over once again. "I didn't know you were like that. And yes, I have this girl. She is the most beautiful person I ever laid my eyes on. She has hair as dark as night and the prettiest bluebell eyes." Marinette wondered how he knew about her. Probably Adrien, she thought. She then thought about the girl. She sounded awfully familiar. Hair as dark as night and pretty bluebell eyes? Maybe she knew this person. "So Simon, do I happen to know her?" He smiled at her softly, and she felt the blush increase as she mentally scolded herself again. "Oh yes you do." Instead of continuing she asked about the boy she dreamt about. "Do you actually happen to know where Adrien is? Or how I came here?"
He laughed, which sounded warm yet cold at the same time. "You fainted when I saw you. I happened to be staying here and sharing the room with Adrien so I just brought you here. Hope you are ok with that." He looked at Marinette and was relieved when she nodded. "For the other question, I am a little disappointed you didn't find out. Maybe it was the change in my style. However the blush says you do think I look good." He winked while Marinette looked embarrassed. "So the answer is, you are looking at Adrien," he said it as if it were poison, the most disgusting thing ever. "Or you could say who used to be that boy. I am now Simon and am happy to be him. Just then Marinette realised what was happening and where Agreste Jr. was the whole time.
