Ashley's Pov

"Oh I don't know" I shook my head to Jacob. He was trying to convince me to go to the dinner party,but I'm not a fashion person. I wouldn't know what to wear."I'll call jayla to come help you" he pulled out his phone and dialed her number.

Not less than 15 minutes later Jayla pulled up in front of my house and ran inside with a kit."Jacob scram" she shooed him away. He chuckled and kissed my forehead telling me he'll be waiting outside. After he left she sat me in a chair with a smirk on her face."What?" I scrunched my eyebrows." I knew you would be with Jacob, you two are so cute" she giggled . I blushed and held my head down.

"Done " she smiled and turned me around to face the mirror."T-thanks. I look-" I started until someone cut me off."Beautiful" I looked on the side view of the mirror and saw Jacob.I smiled."Thank You" ."Ready?" I nodded and stood up."Yup"

Brittany's Pov

Rayan pulled out my chair for me and I smiled and sat down. Soon everyone else joined us at the table and I couldn't help but to collage smile."Well let us see it " Jayla urged. I shyly slipped my hand onto the table and showed everyone."That's pretty" Ashley smiled. I thanked them as the waiter came over."May I assist you guys with anything?" She smiled pulling out her pen and pad."Uhm I'll have the Texas steak with the side salad and large coke" I looked through the menu than sat it down. She nodded and wrote everything down.

"Anyone else?" She pointed around her pen."For me I'll just have the fruit salad" Ashley said ."Anything to drink?" .."Just a water" the woman nodded and continued to write as all of the others ordered their foods."Your food'll be here in a good minute" she smiled and picked up all of our menus than walked away."So-" Ray rubbed his hands together."What do you guys plan on doing for Christmas and Thanksgiving...it's coming up pretty soon."I thought for a moment. I never really thought about that.ThanksGiving & Christmas was coming up really soon."I don't know."Prince put his arm around Ashley shoulder. Aw,their so cute."So what are you doing for the wedding?" Devonnie asked."Im not sure . I mean I don't want anything too big. Maybe just a few family members." I shrugged and they nodded."Im hoping for a little niece during honeymoon time huh?" Roc asked ray."No way" I cut in."Maybe when I'm done college,but not right now."I lightly chuckled and looked at Ray."Im ready whenever you are"he kissed my cheek.

We continued to make small talk until our food finally arrived.

After everyone finished eating we all got up to leave. But I couldn't help to notice Jayla and Devonnie side eyeing me. What's wrong? Is it my eyes? "hey Ash can we talk to you for a minute?" Devonnie called me over a we walked to the cars."Uhm" I looked over at Jacob. "I'll be in the car" I nodded and walked over to them."What's up?".."No disrespect but what the hell is going on?" Jayla asked."What are you talking about?" I asked highly confused."Ashley you disappeared when you were 14,what are you ? 22?23 now? Where have you been all this time? Did you even tell your mom about what happened that night." Eagerly I answered back."No ! I-I mean I didn't get to it." I looked down.

"Whatever it is you can tell us" Devonnie put her hand on my shoulder."Let's talk about this another time"'I pushed my hair behind my ears and walked off.

"What was all that about?" Jacob asked me halfway through the ride home."Nothing" I said and rubbed my eyes a bit."Your lying but I'll drop the subject " he shrugged and pulled up to my house .

"Thanks for everything today" I hugged and kissed Jacob on the forhead."No problem ...hey do you have a phone ?" He asked me and I shook my head no."Well we'll be going to the mall tomorrow to buy you one." I looked down."Jacob I don't want you just going buying me stuff" I shook my head. He looked up at me and smiled."But your my girl, and I want to buy you things" I blushed and looked up at him."Okay , I guess I'll just come knock tomorrow when I'm ready." I shrugged."Okay,night" he ran back to his car and went home.
