For someone so famous Taylor was a very down to earth person, But she had her own demons inside despite her cool image

"Taylor Honey are you alright?" Andrea called out to her daughter who had been silently staring out her window for the past fifteen minutes

"Yeah mum I'm fine..." Taylor replied snapping out of her trance

"Well I just wanted to inform you that Ivy is going to spend the night with you if you don't mind, Her mother and I are great friends from high school and she said Ivy doesn't have a place to stay tonight," Andrea said nervously awaiting a response

"Yeah that's fine" Taylor replied sending her mom a smile and heading back towards the bar

On her way there she saw Karlie hitting it off with one of the boys at the party while Ivy sat alone at the bar

"Hey!" Taylor said coming up behind her

"Shit!!" Ivy yelled spinning around

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you," The blonde-haired girl said laughing

"No... That's alright" Ivy replied smiling

"So I heard you're going to be bunking with me tonight," Taylor said grinning

"Oh yeah my mum just informed me of that plan, I hope I'm no inconvenience," Ivy said shaking her head apologetically

"Oh no that's alright, As long as Mere and Olivia like you we're all good" Taylor replied 

"Hold on you probably don't know who Meredith and Olivia are," Taylor said smiling sheepishly

"I actually do know who they are, You um... I was a big fan and you kinda inspired me to write my own music" Ivy replied fidgeting with her fingers

"Oh wow that's sweet, Thank you!" Taylor said giving the girl a quick side-hug

"So, Is this your first time in NY?" Taylor asked

"No but I don't live here, I have a place in Nashville," She said smiling at the singer's shocked face

"Finally! Someone my age from Nashville!!" Taylor yelled excitedly clapping her hands

"Yeah, I came to a bunch of your shows when you first started," Ivy said laughing

"That's awesome! I'm so glad we're friends now" Taylor said squeezing Ivy's hand

"Hold on, IM HER FRIEND!?" Ivy yelled

" I said that out loud didn't i..." Ivy said covering her face in embarrassment

"Yup," Taylor said giggling

"I'm sorry I tend to forget what comes out of my mouth when I'm excited" Ivy admitted blushing slightly

"Hey its all good, We've all been there," Taylor said giving the girls hand a reassuring squeeze

"Wanna get out of here?" Ivy asked because she noticed Taylor kept zoning out

"Fuck yes," Taylor said motioning towards the exit

The both of them went out of the apartment and went up to the roof where they sat down and began to watch the stars

"Everything good?" Ivy asked

"Yeah I'm okay..." Taylor replied staring at her hands

"Look I know we just met but if you need to talk about something I'm here okay?" Ivy replied smiling slightly
