The fire dragon of Magnolia

"You grew up here?" Gajeel asked Natsu as they walked along.

"Yeah, basically. See they have this guild for children, like a home. It's were I met Erza and even Gildarts. I found Happy's egg in the woods near here."

"It sounds like this place has all your happy memories." Gray commented. Natsu nodded as he looked around.

"All but when I met you." He stated without really thinking about it. He turned to face Gray, a huge smile on his face. "But, now you're here! I can show you everything!" He beamed. He was yanked up short as the ice mage stood frozen in the middle of the sidewalk.

"You, you thunk meeting me was a happy memory?" he asked looking startled.

"Of course. You became my knight, my mate! You got me away from those dragon shifter nappers, you saved Happy and all the times we've had, weren't you happy?" Natsu asked his beaming smile fading. Gray yanked the pink haired teen to him. For the first time ever, he pulled him in close, bending he meshed their lips together, while everyone watched!

"Yahoo!" Gajeel cried. He covered Happy's eyes. "None of that in front of the children!" He chuckled. Gray stepped back.

"You're mine." He whispered as he brushed the pink hair aside. Natsu smiled.

"Let me show you my home first. Then we can..." Gray chuckled as Natsu spouted off about all the things they could do.

"How are we going to do all of that in one day?" Gajeel asked. Natsu laughed. The games began the following morning.

"There, that's the Fairy tail guild I grew up in." Natsu waved from the road as many kids rushed out to greet him. A very pretty girl with long dark hair staggered out.

"Hey old man!" she sloshed a pint of beer at Gildarts. Natsu explained she was his daughter.

"Make sure Lisanna gets home at a decent hour!" a woman with flowing white hair called out.

"That's my sister Mirajane." Lisanna stated. Natsu led them further on, now with a stream of kids parading behind him. At the top of the road he suddenly let go of Gray's hand. He jumped off of the cliff. Falling down out of sight he roared back up as the red fire dragon. His blue white flames leading his charge. The children clapped and screamed at the aerial display. They rushed back to the guild house. Natsu landed on the grass before them, back in his human form.

"They like the dragon." Gray smirked. Natsu nodded. Gray found it endearing how Natsu cared about younger kids.

They walked for another mile before the road opened up. There in a clearing sat, a lopsided straw hut with holes in it and birds resting one top!

"This is where you live?" Gajeel looked shocked. Natsu laughed. He ran forward, Happy at his side. They ducked inside. Suddenly the place transformed. Now before them was, a rock. It looked to be part of the mountain behind it. Natsu's head appeared inside the solid formation.

"Come on!" He waved. The others slowly moved forward. They stepped through, into a beautifully crafted one room hut. It wasn't much but it looked like it was carved out of the mountain. Moss grew on the stone floor creating a carpet that silenced their booted feet.

"Home sweet home. I dug this out of the mountain with my own claws. I know it's not much, but it's mine. And, anyone signed up to compete get rooms in the coliseum." Natsu informed them. He set about cleaning up and getting some food cooking.

"It's perfect. I want to stay here with you." Gray told him coming up behind him and kissing his neck. They ate there. Natsu took them all down to Mirajane's bar afterwards. There they met her brother Elfman. He was a huge guy that was heavily muscled. Gajeel and him got into an arm wrestling match. Elfman transformed into a beast and beat the shifter.
