Koneko's POV

It had been a week since I woke up after Pain stabbed me, I hadn't spoken one word to him. Whenever he spoke to me, I nodded my head and avoided eye contact as much as possible.

It felt childish, but I felt absolutely no reason to be friendly or respectful when he didn't care whether he killed me or not.

I spent a lot of time with Itachi during the week, we had to pair up on a mission to assassinate some prince to be in the Stone Village. We got to know a lot about each other, but there was this overwhelming tension when we stared into each other's eyes.

I was laying in my room when I felt a familiar chakra approaching, I sat up and stared at the door. I heard a knock and he pushed the door open.

I saw the familiar mask and I sighed, "Can I help you with something?" I asked him, annoyed because all I wanted was to take a nap.

"I'm going to need to borrow some chakra, I'm going to experiment on traveling through different time spaces with my eye." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Right now? It can't wait for tomorrow?" I asked in annoyance, I had no energy to perform such an exhausting jutsu.

"I need it now, Koneko. Only your chakra works for this, afterall you are the reincarnation of you know who. Remember our deal, I help you, you help me." He said, chuckling at the last part.

"I'm getting real tired of you throwing that in my face." I sighed and got out of bed. I started to form the hand signs, I began my Chakra Collection Transfusion Jutsu.

I gathered a huge portion of my chakra into my core and refocused it to the palm of my hand, forming a ball of red chakra in my hand.

He readied himself for the impact of my jutsu, I focused on my breathing because if I got this wrong, we would both be in a great deal of pain.

I brought my arm up and focused on his chest, I hit him directly in the chest with my palm, inserting my chakra into the center of his chakra network.

He groaned, "I don't think I'll ever get used to that." I rolled my eyes and supported myself on my dresser. The jutsu exhausted me, I needed to lay down.

"I'll have someone bring you something to drink, thanks Koneko." He said and exited the room quietly.

I turned my body to face the window, and I noticed a crow watching me. There it sat, perched on a metal railing, refusing to take its eyes off of me. I raised my eyebrow.

"You hungry? I mean, you can fly anywhere and get food, but you come to my window. I don't even have food, all I have is-"

"Wait! I have some rice! Do you like rice?" I spoke to the crow. It tilted its head at me and I laughed at myself. I reached into my bag with the bento box that I took on my mission.

I pushed the window open and started making a whole bunch of stupid noises so the crow would come to my window.

He repositioned himself on the railing and tilted his head further, I sighed and stuck the bento box out of the window so the crow would see the food.

"What are you doing?" Itachi's voice said behind me, scaring the living shit out of me, I jumped out of my skin and yelled in shock and dropped the bento box.

The box fell down about 8 stories and I snapped my head around in annoyance, "What the hell?!" I was so confused as to how Itachi got in without me sensing his presence.

He chuckled at me and I glared at him, "I'll get you a new bento box." He said between laughs. I started laughing at myself.

"What was I thinking? That crow probably thinks I'm an idiot." I face palmed myself and laughed. Itachi raised an eyebrow at me.
