A Shining Light- The Hobbit (Legolas love story)

"If I were an orc... you would be dead"

We kept running following the river. Until we reached the point where we could not run alongside the river no more. We have to divert and go round thick bramble and woodland. We kept walking until we were breathless. "I think we should take a break for a minute. We gonna be dead if we keep running"  I say in between deep breaths. Raya nods as we collapse to the on some rocks. There is silence in the air.

"What have we got our selves in to?" I say until I hear Raya laughing. I'm confused. "Why are you laughing? We just got nearly killed by orcs!" I continue pointing back at the way we came. I start to laugh just hearing myself say that sentence is unbelievable really. We stop laughing and just close our eyes listening to the soft breeze. "I hope Kili is okay. He got shot by that arrow pretty badly" Raya finally speaks up. I squeeze her hand "I'm sure he will be okay, he's a strong warrior" I say trying to comfort her. "Kili is pretty cute though..." I say nudging her arm teasing her which makes her laugh. "I know. We are definitely not here to gain a love life" I say standing up trying to notch an arrow in the bow. I saw Legolas use a bow and arrow with so much ease, he doesn't have to think about. "I wonder what happened to the elves?" I ask out loud trying to aim at a tree. "I hope they escaped the orcs, there were so many of them" I continue shooting at a tree. Yes! I hit the target. "You mean you hope Legolas escaped..." Raya states turning and giving me a cheeky smile. I rolled my eyes knowing where she was going with this "nooo I was just wandering" I say collecting my arrow. 

After some time practicing with the bow and arrow, I think I've got the hang of shooting it, my aim is a little off or maybe way off a lot of the time but I can at least use it. "We should look around to see which direction the dwarves could of gone in" Raya stands with me as she walks towards the trees to check the woodland. I walk in the opposite direction climbing over rocks, I look further round a boulder and I see the river. "Raya! I've found the river!" I shout as I walk towards the river edge. I look out at the view as the river flows to become a huge lake. The view is beautiful. I just stand for a second feeling the breeze on my skin blowing my hair. 

I suddenly hear a sound behind me and I know it couldn't be Raya as she would of said something by now. I spin on my heels and notch an arrow ready to shoot an orc. It was not an orc nor was it Raya. It was Legolas also pointing an arrow at me. I sigh in relief "I thought you were an orc" I say keeping my arrow pointed. "If I were an orc... you would be dead" he states keeping his arrow on me too. 

I smile as I eventually put my bow down and he reciprocates "fair point". "What are you doing?" he questions walking towards me making me breath a lot quicker. "We are going to find the dwarves and if we have to kill orcs on or way. We have weapons now" I say showing off my new weapons. Legolas laughs which is interesting, "Caitlin. You can not hunt 30 orcs on your own" he says smiling, wait is he teasing me? 

"But I'm not on my own. I have Raya and you" I say in a manor of fact way. "You knew I would come" he says with a stern tone to his voice. "No, but you're here now, so might as well help" I say with a nervous laugh "your highness" I add quickly forgetting that he is a prince. He laughs, "not many people talk to me the way you do" he says looking at me and I cant quite tell what his expression is. "Um... sorry" I stutter out, "you do not need to apologise. It is quite funny" he replies smirking. Oh okay. 

Raya finally appears out of the trees, oh thank god. "Raya!" I exclaim jogging over to her. "I didn't find anything. But I see you found someone" she says pointing at Legolas. 

"The river flows in to the lake and from what I can see there is a town in the distance. The dwarves must of followed the light of the town and headed their to rest" I pointed in the distance. "Lets find a boat and try and get across then" Raya says looking at Legolas's reaction. "Are you coming or staying?" I ask, "It is not my fight" he says sternly catching me off guard. "Are you not part of this world too?" I question, "I thought with your fighting skills you would want to put them to use, banish the orcs from causing darkness to fill your world" I continue as I know he is thinking about it but he just watches me talk until he eventually looks away. I'm gonna take that as he is coming. And so we start our journey to the town on the lake, known as Lake Town Legolas says.
