Day 198
Ikrux had woken up early this morning, oddly, and had taken a small trip to the archives. Well, he was currently reading on other worlds and how they worked. But, surprisingly, there wasn't anything about Kingdom Hearts. Even under the section of "K", it wasn't there. Maybe Larxene and Marluxia didn't want anyone having more information about it than they did? Well, it was still weird. Ikrux flipped the page, scanning it. Other worlds were greatly intriguing to him, if that wasn't obvious enough.
"Ikrux."
Ikrux turned around in his chair to face Larxene. "Lady Larxene." He greeted his Superior with a nod. "Good morning. How can I be of service..?" He was always rather formal with Larxene and Marluxia, much unlike Roxas. Roxas was like some disobedient kid in a high school, yet he was also obedient at the same time. Ikrux was often confused by his friend's behavior, but he was told that it was a no big deal. Apparently it was normal for their attitude to be confusing. For what reason, Ikrux didn't know.
"Get ready." Larxene said. "We have a meeting."
"A... meeting?" That was out of the ordinary, definitely. They normally didn't have meetings. "Right.."
Larxene rolled her eyes, lightly scoffing under her breath. She left the archives, leaving Ikrux to the deathly silence. He merely left the book open and quickly left through the hallway. On instinct, he found himself heading for Roxas' room, though he had to stop short in the hallway. Marluxia was standing near his friend's doorway, and the latter was leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed and an unreadable scowl, which was paired with a glare.
Even from his spot, Ikrux could hear the growl in Marluxia's voice as he spoke. "You will be there. Do I make myself clear?"
Roxas narrowed his eyes farther. He moved closer to Marluxia, clenching his jaw. "Crystal."
Marluxia didn't respond, but turned and left. Ikrux waited until his superior was far enough down the hall to walk over to Roxas. The latter spotted him instantly, and his previous sour expression turned friendly, as well as gaining a smile.
"Hey, Ikrux." He said coolly. "Good morning."
"Morning!" Ikrux repeated. He stopped just in front of his friend, locking his hands together in front of him. His head fell to the side and he asked, "What was that, with Lord Marluxia?"
Roxas released a sigh, crossing his arms. "Sorry you had to see that." He lightly shook his head. "Lux just wanted to make sure I attend the meeting." He finished his words off with a scoff. "I oughta give him a taste of my keyblade."
"That doesn't really seem ideal, Roxas."
Roxas opened his mouth, but just before he spoke, he shook his head. "Never mind, Ikrux. What's up?"
"Oh!" Ikrux slightly frowned at himself. How could he so simply forget? "The meeting."
"What about it..?" Roxas raised an eyebrow, slightly putting more of his weight against the doorframe.
"Um, what's the meeting for?" He quickly shook his head afterwards. "No, I mean, uh.."
"Why are we having the meeting?"
"Yeah! That.."
Roxas slightly chuckled. "I believe we have a new member joining us."
"Oh.." Ikrux's shoulders fell a bit. Should he be excited? Disappointed? They were getting a new addition to the Organization. Was that a good thing? From his experiences with the current members, he could concede that they were definitely strange. Luxord spoke in 'gambling terms' as he once explained. Demyx often said words that Ikrux didn't understand nor recognize, like 'sike' or some other weird thing. He didn't hate Larxene, but somewhat resented her for making him think his powers were a bad thing. Marluxia.. he was hard to read, to say the least. Ikrux looked up at Roxas with a quizzical expression. "And.. how should I feel about that?"
