Summers had a logic of their own and they always brought something out in me. Summer was supposed to be about freedom, youth, no school, possibilities, adventure, and exploration. Summer was a book of hope, that's why I loved and hated summers.

Summer was our best season, it was sleeping on the back screened porch in cots, or trying to sleep in the treehouse; summer was everything good to eat, it was a thousand colors in a parched landscape.

But this season, this summer, it was full of chaos and hatred. The opposite of what I've ever witnessed. I believed in life everything has an opposite, yes, everything that happened, the opposite will surely find its way.
That is my perception, my mentality, but that's how life is, everyone with his own level of thinking, individual difference, they call it, She can remember her psychology.....
"BOOM" "BOOM" "BOOM"
If it wasn't the sound of the door, she'll think it's a bomb exploding; but she knows better, it wasn't any bomb, it was the monster in human form, the evil, depraved man that she'll loathe until her last breath

"Hey, you better get up from that your slumber, or else, you know the consequences " the vicious man said.

She wished and she hoped, that she was in a slumber, not a light one that she'll be half awake, no, the one she'll be sleeping forever, just to escape misery.

She got up slowly, careful of the wound on her knees, and strive to him. He grabbed her immediately by the arm and pushed her outside of the darkroom. The light instantly blind her eyes, it welcomes her, though not the kind of light she was yearning for; it was light full of darkness, surrounded by tall dark buildings , she wasn't sure if it was a house or a prison, because it looks a lot like the prison she used to see in movies.
They stride into the long hallway, the place was very familiar to her, she have lost count of how many times she passed through, the last time she was keeping time was the 28th times and that was a very long time ago, a year maybe or two years ago, because she couldn't keep track of time in here.

As they pass through the dim light of the hallway, she thought of her family, to say how she misses them is an understatement, her Mami especially, she missed her to the point it frustrates the hell out of her because there's nothing she can do about it.
As the only child to her parents, she was loved and cared for, her Abba was the strongest man she have ever seen. He understands her when no one does and gives her a shoulder to cry on. She doesn't know the situation they are in, have they given up on her? Or think she's dead? Many thoughts ran through her mind. She's sure her Mami has overstressed herself thinking about her.

She was brought out of her thoughts when the grip on her shoulder tightens. "Walk fast, or else I'll have to drag you, seems like you need a fresh wound"
She fastened her steps, although scrunching her face because of the pain that was piercing through her legs, the hallway was very long, or so she thought, they have been walking for at least five minutes.

They walked for another minute before reaching a door, the door was very large, one will think it's a door made for giraffes and elephants. But it wasn't surprising, because the size of the people here is big as that of the elephants and tall as giraffes. He shoved her immediately to the ground.

" You know your work little miss, I don't have to be telling you everyday"

Absolutely, she knows her chores, it was her everyday routine since she was kidnapped, she sweeps the whole of the compound, it was very big, and a large fence was surrounding the compound. When she's done sweeping, she fetches water from the well, and full all the tanks that were placed far from the building, afterwards, she cooked for them.

She glanced at where she kept the broom yesterday, it was still there, along with the bin. She marched toward it, without any thought, she began sweeping.
Her thoughts raced over again, she remembered the day she was kidnapped...........
