Cole slept peacefully last evening as he woke up well-rested. He looked over to his mate beside him sleeping calmly after a successful small feeding from Avery and him. He did start out taking out some sustenance to increase his blood production as Maria would gradually start to accept his blood. He was pleased and delighted that he had a long talk with Maria as he would get to know her more from her own words. He did take some advices from Basile as well in keeping Maria's room as a separated infrastructure in the main palace for reasons. If she have her traumatic episodes again, only her side of the room would experience the trembling and breaking apart and the other wolves living inside the palace and outside would be safe. This worried him but his wolf Randy assured him that they can feel Maria's well-being when the time comes.

Leaving his side of the bed as he checked over the sleeping infants on their shared crib. Avery was wrapping his arms around Talvir lightly. Which made Cole and Randy smiled in content, kissing their small temples before taking a shower and getting dress for his duties in the morning.

Maria stirred from her bed and felt Cole's presence was gone from her side. Alarmed, she quickly rose up only to see Cole finishing up a few more buttons at his suit jacket. Both making eye contact from Maria's distressed eyes, uneven breathing and Cole's worried gaze.

"Where are you going?" she asked in quiet matter before she eased out her shriveled hair.

"Today's the day where my father and I would have a meeting with all pack leaders. I have to leave early for early preparations for the guests when they arrived. I'm sorry I didn't wake up up, you were sleeping peacefully and you haven't got that for awhile. " he answered and sat down close to her in bed. One of his hands on her back and hands, comforting her.

"Will Basile be there as well? If you are meeting for a war."

"He would be there, he was the one who suggested it." Maria only nodded and leaned her head on his side.

"I cannot promise you that we will finish the meeting early but will you be alright?"

"Can I come with you?" she asked though Cole quickly refused. He knew his wife was well aware and knowledgeable in the field. He was worried if she would have a breakdown seeing all of the alphas in one setting. He never meant to hurt her but she understood why he didn't wanted her to meet them yet, Maria was uncomfortable around werewolves. Which is why she avoided the pack house and crowded areas within the palace.

"Don't worry, if anything was to happen, I would be the first person you'll see at your aid."

"Alright..." she sighed and asked for a quick embrace before he left.

Cole left at early 5:00 am in the morning after waking up at 4:00 am, Laylana and Lilith did visited her at 8:00am. Laylana didn't had to worry anything about the meeting as her father and brother were to take care of those matters. What she had to worry about was training all every day in adapting to her vampire side. Lilith and James were also teaching her to improve her casting spells more.

"Mama, we've brought you breakfast!" said Lilith in a cheerful voice as Laylana opened the door. The three of them exchanged a few words but Maria could only speak a little since the wounds on her neck make it difficult due to the pain. She would listened to them on how much they had learned and improved, becoming close friends as well. Laylana brought over her maid Jasmine who used to serve her in looking over the children as they have a conversation in the room. Maria was hesitant but Laylana assured her that Jasmine was the one who raised her when she was young and was like a mother to her. Implying that the she-wolf can be trusted and good at handling children.

"Maria can I ask if we talk in private? The children can play with my piglets at my room and Sigmund can join them as well." said Laylana.

"Alright, Lilith help Miss Jasmine watching over the little ones okay?" The princess agreed and the two left for Laylana's room.
