The Final Waltz

Chapter 13

The prince of werewolves mindlinked his cousin overseeing any visions on the fae queen's soulmate. They all knew Titania haven't meet her soulmate yet and was eager in having one. Just like Maria, she had children to secure her position and power as Queen of Faes. Something others may see as soiled and tainted, however it was normal and accepted within the royal family of faes, witches, vampires and other more. For werewolves however it wasn't, Cole was a special case and so as other alpha's too. They were born to be the standard golden alphas ensured with good genes, often requested with a seer's vision for an upcoming future where a strong pup was needed.

"I have a vision!" Rieka chirped in glee as she finally finished her small ritual to the Moon Goddess. Tossing aside the tree branch she once used while scattering smoke all over her blessed temple.

"A fae and a wolf....that is good news. Titania's soulmate can be either of them." Cole smiled after receiving the news, if neither of them are available. Perhaps one of his trusted men are, there were a few single alphas and promising mates as well. He told Maria of the good news after she had them meet Amir. He wasn't over the moon when he said the Fae, the last words the man told him after leaving was.

"I will have her after you long past away..." Prince Amir was serious over his words, knowing well that werewolves only live as long as 500 years. It was intimidating as he never marked Maria due to Damian's curse and mark on her neck. If he had marked Maria then he would stopped aging and matched it with hers, they could both be immortals as she would slowly feed him her blood. It was impossible at the moment to be done and they should deal with Damian first.

"Basile do you still have Titania's underwear?" Maria slammed the door open where Basile resides at the palace and the cheeky demon sprung in surprise from his seat.

"We talked about this, I can keep it as long as I-" he tried to argue, as his ex wife discarded all of his stolen or given treasures and trove from his lovers.

"I need to borrow it, I'm not going to discard it like Czarina." She nagged as she opened one of his magical suitcase and dig over the sea of underwear with names embroidered over them. Cole's face flushed as Maria pour some over at Basile's bed and it was just all over the place. He couldn't comprehend how much was in there. He didn't even wanna touch any of those as he spotted one with Maria's name. He growled and tried to take it away but Maria took it and shoved it back to the suitcase. She said Basile earned it after she lost a card game with him. The prince couldn't do anything as the King of Lust only giggled like a child whose brother got scolded by their mother.

"Don't be mad, you can sniff all the underwear you want in my laundry." She fumed as she noticed her beloved's scowling face. Taking off what she was wearing for the day and threw it on his face. He was bewildered at shock, confusion, joy....he didn't know what to say. He only put it on his pockets as he got a little excited over Maria's gesture to calm him down. His wolf was patting and begging to hold their mate down to enjoy but they rather have her well first.

"You got a fresh one congrats!" Basile cheered with a smug on his face, finally picking up a purple lace thong made with pearls.

"We got it!" said Maria with a grin on her face, Basile rubbed it down on his face which maria smacked his head lightly.

"Don't rub your scent in! We are using that to find her mate!" she fumed and grabbed the underwear using her index and thumb to hold it like a smelly sock. It wasn't smelly but Maria didn't wanna rub her scent on it too.

"I'll have all the single alphas gathered immediately before they leave. I have a feeling that one of them are the Queen of Faes mate." A small curve etched to Cole's face as he midlinked all the single alphas at one room.

One by one they entered the room where they asked them to sniff the underwear. This was a bewildering idea, but it was the only thing Maria knows that Basile had of Titania's. The alphas didn't questioned anything as Cole raised his brow and motioned them to sniff it.

Finally after a few alphas down. A familiar face emerged from the door and Maria greeted with a smile.

"Alpha Ralph, its so nice to see you again." Alpha Ralph bowed his head to his leaders and greeted them as well with respect.

"Queen Maria, you were pregnant last time I saw you and yet again. Arent you bursting with joy Prince Cole." He said, unknowing on how the babe was conceived. After observing his Queen's sudden smile to a frown with her hands on her belly. He then understood that who was the father and what had happened. It wasn't hard to understand, he did take note on how Prince Cole's hand was on her shoulder rubbing gently to calm her.

"Yes indeed..."

"Oh..my apologies."

"It is alright, come I have something for you to smell about. I knew you weren't at the last party when everyone was gathered as you were dealing with rouges in your pack land. You haven't meet her yet I suppose." Said Maria to change to mood and Cole's growing impatience.

"Smell?" the Alpha snorted as he knew the queen has some gimmicks asking him to do things for her back then.

"You are mateless and I am trying to help someone find their mate." She said with a twinkle in her eyes, hopeful that this is the one.

Ralph only hummed as Maria opened a suitcase with a purple lacy pearl thong inside of it. His eyes popped out a bit from surprise at what his Queen showed him. It wasn't formal and it wasn't that bad, he thought she was gonna have him smell a dead animal and guess what it was.

The lingerie smelt like wild flowers he used to play around as a child. They grew vastly at his pack lands, how his pupils dilated eyeing the object. His nose flared with deep breathing as he inhaled the scent of his mate. His wolf was thrilled, he has finally found his mate after years of searching for her. Maria told him that scent belonged to the Queen of Faes, Titania. She was a fae and a Queen none less!

"Judging by your expression, I say this is it." Both the royals smiled as Maria closed the suitcase. She explained that she cannot give him the ...lingerie as it wasn't for her to give but she did gave a poor joke on him asking Titania once the properly meet. Ralph only laugh and Cole sighed at his mate's poor joke. She wasn't gonna come empty handed to Basile, she only borrowed it!

Maria quickly wrote a letter upon their newly found discovery and stated that Alpha Ralph was waiting at the castle for his mate. She had the letter given to Sigmund as she knew Prince Amir loved the dog. Sigmund understanding his duty and command immediately had leapt to the portal and bolted to Prince Amir's headquarters where he was welcomed with food and belly rubs.

After a few hours the Prince was back with his agitated sister who refused to believe and partake the Queen of Vampires has to say. Amir had his sister on his arms like a rolled rug and marched her to the room where Maria asked them to meet.

Titania who only saw her soulmate's eyes had kicked her brother and immediately cling on to her soulmate's arms. It didn't take a minute for everyone to leave the room and stayed a few feet away. Amir had to put a barrier to his sister's room to all the noises they were making inside, the children cannot sleep at peace!

"Damn, they have great luck am I right!?" said Maria with a smug on her face. Her beloved only laugh as Amir backed away from the room, not wanting to hear more.

"Yes, we should give them some privacy..."

"Is it safe to assume that we have the faes support?"

"Judging on the sounds, plenty of yes." The prince of fae only gave a face of grimace as he opened another portal and bid goodbye.
