His hands are still glued to the sides of her face. He stares at her with his small green eyes and a small frown appears between his eyebrows.

He blinks one, twice, as if he's waiting for her to say something else.

"Did you hear me?" She asks and that's when realization hits him like a tsunami.

"You're pregnant?" He questions, repeating her own words. She just nods, the knot on her stomach still tight and filled with anxiety. He slowly takes his hands off her cheeks and she finds herself missing the warmth of his skin. She mentally curses herself for her own thoughts. "Are you sure?"

"I am" she looks down, her gaze fixed on her hands playing nervously on her lap. "I took three pregnancy tests and yesterday I took a blood test for confirmation. I'm 7 weeks pregnant today". Serhat stands up and starts pacing back and forth, one hand in his pants pocket and the other frantically touching his stubble.

"Okay" he whispers and the way he can't stop moving is making her more nervous, until she just can't take it anymore. She gets up from the chair and stands on his way, forcing him to stop before colliding into her. She grabs his shoulders and he looks down at her, his expression a slight mix of panic and shock. "You sure it's mine?" She rolls her eyes and shakes her head, the knot in her stomach now completely gone and replaced by determination.

"Are you seriously asking me? You think I go sleeping around with every man I meet?" She snaps.

"I wasn't the only one to make assumptions here, mind you." His voice is calmer now, the panic from seconds ago almost gone. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. That was a stupid question." He apologizes and then takes a deep breath.

"Look, I didn't come here to force you to take responsibility. I only came because I thought it was fair that you knew about this baby, that I am keeping, by the way, weather you like it or not." She gets defensive all of a sudden, taking him by surprise.

"Halide, calm down. Weather you want to keep it or not, that will always be your choice, I can only agree or disagree but the choice is yours to make." He invites her to sit down again and offers her a glass of water, getting one for himself too. They both need it.

"I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. I didn't mean to it's just-"

"That you're freaking out?" He smiles at her and she notices a small dimple appearing on his right cheek. It's barely visible under his beard, but it's there and she finds it adorable.

"Yeah" she sounds like a small child, scared but also determined. They stare at each other, the silence suddenly surrounding them, but it's not awkward.

He leans towards her, their faces a bit too close but she doesn't mind.

"Are you okay though? His voice is extremely soft and the worry she sees in his eyes makes her heart flutter a little. Just a little, of course. No big deal.

She hugs herself, her arms wrapped around her lower belly.

"We're both okay, yeah." She smiles and finally, she feels like she can properly breathe, the nervousness and anxiety completely gone from her body and mind. "Serhat, I'm serious though. I'm not here to ask for anything. I understand that you already have a kid to take care of and I don't want-"

"I want in" he interrupts her all of a sudden and for some reason his words shock her in the best way possible. "I won't leave you alone to rise this baby. I want to be there too" when he reaches his thumb to swipe away a lonely tear from her cheek, she realizes a bit too late that she's crying out of relief. She didn't realized how scared she was to have to rise their baby alone until he said out loud that he wants in.
