Mickey never saw himself as the jealous type, growing up in the Southside meant you had nothing. You were raised to deal with what you had, which left no room for want. Yet he couldn't help the want, to rip his eyeballs out whenever the geriatric Ned was around his redhead.

Now, he knows he doesn't own the redhead or even label him as his boyfriend.

BUT STILL

It confused him at first. The feeling of want. When he first saw Ian hanging around Ned, his immediate reaction was to beat the shit out of the guy. Of course, no matter how much Mickey wanted Ian to himself, Mickey still didn't want Ian in the same vicinity as those geriatrics.

On Ian's side of things, he knew Mickey was jealous. He could see it in the way Mickey looked at Ned like he wanted to murder him. Or how Mickey always made sure to fuck Ian -- Ian fucks him -- whenever he was done hanging around Ned.

Though that's just the thing. Ian loved that Mickey got so hot and bothered by the situation.

Mickey likes to play, big bad wolf.

And Ian lets him.

What's the goal, you may ask? Ian wants Mickey to admit that he cares about him. He finally wants Mickey to come to terms with his feelings. Not come out to the world, but more to himself. Get the idea, that gays are not gross or bad, out of his head. And until that happens, Ian will continue to piss the shit out of the short angry thug.

"Thank you for this. I was feeling down and needed a date," Ned smiled at the redhead from across the table.

"Of course, wasn't feeling too happy myself," and by that Ian is referring to the argument he got into with Mickey about the man across the table.

Mickey wasn't too keen on Ian dating this 50, 60, 100-year-old man. No shit. The problem was, that Mickey executed that information in a way Mickey would.

Earlier That Day:

"Ayo! Gallagher! The fucks up with you and that old guy, man?" Mickey was sitting up against the abandoned building waiting for Ian to show up to start the usual.

"You mean Ned?"

"That statement makes it sound like there's more than one old guy. You some kinda slut for old guys Gallagher?"

Present:

So yes, that situation had Ian pissed off. But he understood Mickey's language. He wouldn't shame the redhead, Ian knows that. Mickey was just a jealous prick that used anger and harmful words to show that he was pissed off and wanted what was his.

It was Ned's voice that brought Ian out of his thoughts, "We should meet up again sometime. Maybe alone," he said with a wink.

"...Um... No, no, I'm sorry. I'm gonna have to pass on that one."

"Got another special someone?"

"I guess you could say that," he responded, completely ignoring the fact that Ned thought he was also one of Ian's special lovers.
