Lay Down Your Defenses Darling
Lay down your defenses darling,
The war has gone and past.
We’ve survived with only a few bruises,
And some scars that are going to last.
Slip out of your bunker sweetheart
The sun is shining bright.
Oh, no that’s not another bomb
That’s just a candle’s light.
Don’t be so paranoid love,
The lies are at an end.
Things have changed, and now,
I’m no longer just a friend.
