19.Who's The Real Enemy?

The whole square was busy as everybody had gathered there over something "What's going on? Everyone's acting weird" Nanaba pointed out

"Yeah, what's all the commotion about?"

'I wonder if something happened with Eren and Nezuko' I wondered just as Moblut came running towards us, he stopped to catch his breath before saluting Miche.

"Ah, Section Commander Zacharius!"

"What's happened?"

"The test subjects... The two titans that were captured... They've both been killed"

"The same titans we I helped with?" I asked Moblit.

"I'm afraid so"

"By who?"

"We don't know yet. By the time the guards noticed anything, the culprit was already gone. Using Odm gear"

"So it was a soldier? Hm... How's Hange taking it?"

"It'll take her a while to get over it, I think"

"Sounds like her" I muttered

We walked inside the makeshift research area we're the titans we're held just as Hange dropped to her kness screaming her head off "Noooo! Sawney! Bean! Someone tell me this all a bad dream!"

"What do you think? Who's the enemy here?" Erwin said as he stood by me

"Sir?"

"Sorry, I shouldn't have asked you that" he said and walked away before I could ask again.

I approached Hange and as soon as I was in her field of vision she raised her head tears in her eyes before she yanked me down onto my eyes and hugged me tightly "Uh Hange?"

"Look (Y/n)! Look! Look at how they massacred our babies!" she said pulling herself closer.

I didn't know what how to respond so I just patted her on the head "Um there, there I'm it's going to be okay. We can always catch more can't we?" as I continued stroking her hair Erin's question when through my head 'Who's the enemy here? What did he mean?'

I made my way to the cadet barracks but on the way I spotted Annie, Armin, Connie and Zenitsu.
"Hey, didn't you get the order?" Connie asked me

"Order? What order?" I asked the group

"From the military police. All the trainees were summoned" Annie told me

"Everyone had their ODM gear examined. Because that's how the person who killed the captures titans escaped" Armin said "They didn't find anything, though. I guess you weren't under suspicion because you were on duty"

"You're helping out in the Scout regiment, right? And you've already been in battle with a Titan, haven't you? That's amazing!"

"Really because your face says otherwise" I said back to him pointing out his glum expression.

"I don't ever want to see another Titan again." Connie admitted ashamed

"How do you do it (Y/n), aren't you scared?" Zenitsu asked like I was an enigma to him.

But the truth was I was scared, everytime I step out those walls, every mistake I made, every breath I take I was aware it could be my last and the thought terrified me. "I am scared" I admitted to them

"Then how-"

"But I don't let that fear control me .I'm just a normal human like you guys I'm aware of my own mortality but if I let that fear of dying get in my head then I'm already done for. So I use that fear to push forward and keep fighting" I explained as best as I could which was kinda hard 'I should really take some leasons on putting my thoughts into words'
