Chapter Eleven: The woods

Harry woke up and looked around, no one was with him, no one was anywhere near where he was.

Harry decided he was gonna find his own way back, so the little boy tried to retrace his steps

But unfortunately he couldn't remember what his steps were

The boy walked in a circle for hours, as the sun began to set he got more and more worried, he wasn't sure how far he was from home, he wasn't sure where to go, he wasn't sure what to do

He fell in mud, hit his head on a tree branch, stubbed his toe and cried within the first two hours or so he was alone

Meanwhile, his family noticed he was gone almost immediately and were looking for him everywhere

Harry sat on a fallen branch, his eyes red from crying, his swim trunks muddy and cold, he was exhausted, his head hurt from crying, his heart felt broken from being away from his family

he curled into himself, sobbing quietly as he rocked himself back and fourth

"please...please save me...please...I'm scared"

he muttered to himself, praying that his family would find him and make him feel better, he closed his eyes, hoping this was all just one scary nightmare, then drifted off to sleep

He wasn't able to sleep for long, he woke up to many different voices calling his name

"Harry!"

"Harry!"

"Harry"

But he couldn't call out to them, his body hurt, he was tired,scared and sad, all he could do was cry

He heard footsteps approaching as he sobbed

"Harry? HARRY!" It was Lucius

Harry let out a large sob as Lucius picked him up

"Shhh baby, it's ok, let it all out" Lucius whispered softly as Harry cried into his chest

"Are you ok baby?"

Harry shook his head and showed Lucius a small gash on his forehead where he had been hit with a tree branch

they made there way back to the house, where everyone was panicking crying, calling his name yelling at each other and Draco sobbing

"guys! I found him" Lucius announced as he ran towards everyone

"Is he ok?"

"Where was he?"

"in the woods, he has a nasty gash on his forehead, I need to clean it before it gets infected."

"Im so sorry Harry! We should have kept a better eye on you"

Sirius was almost in tears

"Shut up Sirius! It's your fault he disappeared! You told him to go watch stupid butterflies!"

Draco quickly took Harry out of Lucius' arms and walked away

"I'm so sorry baby, I'm gonna clean up your wound and then you can rest ok?"

Draco entered the bathroom and carefully set Harry down on the counter

"I'm sorry...I-I didn't mean to get lost..I was just trying to catch the butterfly so I could show you it"

Harry started to cry

"Oh baby it's ok, you're just too little to be going off all on your own"

Draco gently kissed his head and started to clean his wound

"It's gonna sting a little bit so just stay calm ok?"

Harry nodded as Draco cleaned his wound and put a bandage on it

"Let's get you changed too, your covered in mud"

Draco quickly changed Harry into a light blue onesie with gold and silver strips, he then picked him up and took Harry to his bedroom

"You're gonna sleep with me tonight ok?"

Harry nodded as Draco laid down with him and cuddled him

"I got you baby, your safe"

Draco gently rubbed Harry's back in circles, smiling softly as Harry snuggled with him, they laid together contently, neither one wanted to leave, they were happy, comfortable, and safe, and that's exactly what they both wanted

"Draco...?"

"Yes baby?"

Harry whimpered and wrapped my arm around Draco

"I'm scared..."

Draco quickly sat up

"What do you mean?"

"we have to go back to Hogwarts eventually, and I might slip in a class! A-and then imagine what everyone will say.."

Draco's expression softened, gently pulling Harry close to him and rubbing his back

"Don't worry baby, that's not gonna happen, because you aren't going back."
