[5] Prying Thoughts

-omg I'm so sorry I forgot to push publish and only noticed today. I thought it went through before my power went out.

Sun didn't know how to feel. After that encounter Moon started to have strange thoughts. They were frantic and confusing, they contradicted each other. It was like he was trying to flood someone's thoughts out. Before, it was just a one track task on his mind. It was making Sun extremely uncomfortable and unable to focus. Sun started to appear in the thoughts too.

After that close call they went to the daycare again, Sun wouldn't even let Freddy near the lights. He was absolutely terrified. Freddy knew that the lights shut off during certain hours so he was on edge.  Sun had pleaded that they not leave him and that he was sorry, Freddy couldn't say no. They were all scared of  Moon. Gregory kinda kept his distance after that.

Sun felt terrible, of course he did. He had deeply frightened a child. It was something he was made not to do. He could tell Freddy was a little scared too. All he could do was feel this sinking feeling. He wasn't sure if it was Moon or him. His head was so loud. He started to panic, he was scared the virus was reaching him.

Freddy could not pull Sun from his panic. Sun just stayed curled in on himself, he was barely coherent at that point. He was clenching his sun rays like he was trying to tear them apart. Nothing would bring him out of that state. Sun wasn't even sure if they could save Gregory anymore.

Through the panic Freddy realized that they were running out of time, the lights would be off soon. He had to make a choice. He chose hide Gregory in his chest and stay back a bit. He wasn't in view. That's when it happened, Sun's mumbling turned into a screech as he desperately tried to keep control. The scream stopped and clicks were heard. Moon had come out.

Moon seemed frantic, he looked confused and scared. His eyes kept a strange flicker, he didn't really seem like before. Gregory then had an idea, he had remembered how the magnet scrambled the upgrade machine. He was willing to see if it worked on Moon. Freddy had hesitated, but he agreed in the end. They really hoped that it would do something and not affect Sun or Moon too bad.

He slapped the magnet on Moon before he could attack. Moon froze and he took the magnet back. Moon had started rebooting. It looked like he was having his system cleared. With some harsh clicks and whirls he looked like he was back to reality. He looked at the bear in front of him and asked why he was there. Moon was completely different.

Moon almost seemed like he was just a sleepy bot. He seemed so human. He was still a little strange though, He still did weird things like crawl around. He also still hunched. It kinda reminded Gregory of a little gremlin. It was a weird sight, Moon was at least 7 feet or more. 

Moon still seemed to have a bit of his corrupted essence but he wasn't particularly aggressive. He worried over Gregory and was concerned that he was there so late. Before Moon could start scolding Freddy for keeping a kid up so late he was interrupted. Freddy said, "We need your help, something has gave everyone a virus. We need to keep Gregory safe, he needs to escape." Moon thought for a moment and looked them in the eyes, "I'll help you."

They now had one less thing to worry about. Moon would be helpful for when they have to go in dark areas. They would have to leave to the mall area. As they walked through the area Chica spotted them. Just as Chica almost reached him Moon kicked her. It left a dent and knocked her to the floor but he didn't look sorry. He just picked up Gregory.

Freddy was about to comment on him hurting Chica but Moon looked at him like he was trying to glare, it didn't give off the effect because he had no eyelids and his grin was permanently carved. Freddy still backed off, he decided it was best to not anger Moon. While the stare battle went on Gregory thought about how close that was. He was very glad for Moon and felt like Chica probably deserved that anyways.

Before Chica could get up and pursue them again they ran away farther down the mall. They quickly realized that they would have to go into Roxy's raceway. Roxy was going to be much more difficult to evade than Chica. They started down the clearly unfinished entrance after a quick plan. They really needed it to work.
