"Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday, happy birthday... Happy Birthday to you!"
"Happy 24th, Aliyah!!" They all cheered.
"Oh, wish ka na and blow the candles!" I closed my eyes and wished. Immediately after, Vince and Janica put some icings on my face. I groaned. Yung makeup ko, jusko! Caramel pa naman 'yong cake!
"Hoy!?! Mga walangya stop!!!! Anuba?!" I yelled.
"Arte mo! Birthday mo naman, please?"
"In your dreams! Paka-lagkit nyan e!"
"Nye-nye" She tried putting some but I stopped her midway. I don't really understand why they need to put icings on the face every birthday. Ang lagkit-lagkit kaya!
"Paka- KJ!"
She rolled her eyes and put the cake on the table and started walking away when I realized something... I pouted as I looked at her, kanina ko pa napapansin na napaka jolly nya today ah, feeling ko tuloy sa kanyang birthday 'to eh. Hmmmm. Could it be?
"Why, bitch?" Janica said when she finally noticed that I'd been staring at her.
"Ang sigla mo today. Ano meron?"
"Ay bakit ikaw lang entitled maging masaya, ha?" I squint my eyes.
"Whatever you are thinking, it's not." She coolly said and went to Vince para ayain nang mag-swimming sa pool.
I rolled my eyes at her but I'm really curious why she's that happy. Usually kasi poker face lang 'to saka walang paki masyado sa nangyayari, lutang every time, ganun. So, I'm really wondering that she's like this today but considering how she is on usual days, I decided to rather make peace with how she is acting today. Mabuti na siguro yung ganito, hindi yung parang may kasama akong bato.
"Oy, tara ligo sa pool!" Vince's eyes immediately sparkled. I smirked in relief. I thought wala sa kanilang may interest maligo sa pool that's why I'm a bit sad when I noticed na parang wala lang sa kanila na pwede mag-swimming; naghihintayan lang pala.
Janica made him agreed so matic nang sumunod yung iba ko pang friends sa pagbibihis. Kanina pa ako nagyaya na magbihis na pero tumatango lang sila tapos?? I shrugged my head.
"Woaaaaaah!!" JC's shouting as he rushed to the pool. What the heck?
"Hoy! Dahan -dahan hindi tatakbo yung pool!" Jusmiyo, ayoko namang may ma-aksidente sa birthday ko! This might be the last birthday I'm spending here in Philippines so as much, wala naman sanang jinx!
"Woaaah woaah ka jan! Mamaya sa impyerno bagsak mo!" Cassey shouted. I giggled.
"Ulol! Kung may babagsak sa impyerno rito, ikaw yon!"
Really this two! They're twins, and laging nagbabarahan. I don't know what's with them honestly but I'm sure that they care for each other, medyo chaotic nga lang kapag magkasama sila so I really respect their house helps kasi paano nila nakakayanan na tiisin yung ingay nung dalawang tao? My goodness.
"Be careful, guys! Ayokong maging death anniversary 'tong birthday ko next year!"
They laughed at me and Jovi replied, "Noted!". I sigh.
Akala ko talaga kanina wala silang amour maligo sa pool kasi pauli-ulit ako nang tanong if gusto na nila mag bihis para maligo pero puro tango at ngiti lang sinasagot. Muntik na nga ako mag meltdown ng slight kasi hello?! Simula yata Grade 5 ako pangarap ko ng makapag-celebrate ng birthday ko with swimming kasi summer yung birthday ko e. Dati ang gusto ko lang non ay mag-swimming don sa patubig nila Lolo Beto kaso 'di namin afford non e. Kaya sa bahay lang ako lagi nag-se-celebrate.
