Chapter 4 The secret return & sake

(Back to the original time which is when Jiriaya stops reminiscing his and narukos' time during the training trip)
As they crossed the Kohana gates they start heading towards the hokages tower. They didn't want to alert Anybody they knew that they were here so they went through the roof with their cloaks  covering their body and face. Jiraya opens the window and slide into the Hokages meeting room. "You are six months early jiraya what happened ," Tsunade said.  Naruto stays outside and keeps her cloak on. "Tsunade-Hime, dawn rises and flames wither ,"Jiraya said seriously. She makes a sign for the Anbu to leave. Jiraya activated the silencing seal.  "What happened Jiraya, for you to use that code it must be serious. But more importantly where is naruko?," she ask eyes filling with concern.  Jiraya does not meet her eyes instead he makes a gesture for naruko to come in. "Naruko"She quesTions. "What's up ba-Chan do you wanna have a drink with us," she ask tsunade with a closed eye smile. "Sure,gaki," tsunade does not know why but just by looking at naruko she could tell that she has changed. Jiraya takes out 3 bottle of sake from tsuandes secret stash, and proceeds to give them the sake. Tsunade takes a sip of sake.  "On the first year during our travels we met a man with red hair, he identified himself as Haruki Uzumaki," tsuande eyes widen in surprise. "Not much later  after that jiraya then proceeded to tell me and haruki about  my heritage "naruko says while taking a huge gulp of sake. "Yes, hokage-sama I know about my heritage, and honestly we can continue this topic later ," tsunade nods and sends jiraya glare for not telling her in advanced. " Not long after that haruki followed us in our travels. And it was not much after that, that me and haruki fell in love with each other," tsuande was dumbstruck. Naruko looks towards the window, gazing at the stars  "we were to be married," she finally say as tears start gathering In her eyes. Tsuande eyes start tearing up as well. Seeing the child that she sees as her own grand daughter be in so much pain because she lost her other half. Naruko continues to take gulps of sake. If only she wasn't a Jinchuriki, then she'll  be able to get drunk and numb the pain if only for a while. I wonder if this is why ba-Chan drinks, to numb it all? But I guess its different for me no matter how much I drink I still remember and I still feel the pain, it doesn't numb anything at all she thinks to herself as she stares at the sake . "Pervy sage can you continue to tell ba-Chan I don't think—."      "It's fine gaki. I got it from here." Tsuande stares at bothering jiraya and naruko, I guess a lot things changed.
     Jiraya then proceeds to tell her everything  else that occurred during their trading trip and Tsunade is left speechless. So much happened to her beloved god daughter and she knew she couldn't do anything for her that can heal her and mend her heart back to its former form, But she can try to sooth the grief as much as she can. Because Kami knows she knows how much it hurts to lose your lover.  "Oh baby come here," she tell her heartbroken god daughter. Naruko rushes into her bachanns arms and cries for what fills like the millionth time. " Ba-Chan I swear I didn't plan any of this. It just happened. And Kami it hurts. It's hurt so much that I find it hard to breath. I can't sleep anymore. Not without—-," and she wails not being able to hold it in anymore. " Shh Shh," she runs her hand through her blonde hair trying to soothe her to sleep. Tsunade eys well up with tears and she stares as Jiraya. And she also notices his eyes wetness but does not point it out. As if reading each other minds they come to a silent  agreement. " we will protect her And we would destroyed anyone who would try to harm her." ( see what I did there ;) )
