Dr. Manx's Daughter

CHAPTER ONE

New Tech City, 2029

S.P.D... An organization of intergalactic police officer was most known for it's B-Squad. After the S.P.D. A-Squad disappeared, the back up squad took over as protectors of Earth... And They succeeded through lots of hard work and perseverance, even defeating the traitorous A-Squad. The B-Squad Red Ranger, Jack Landors, retired from S.P.D. soon afterwards.

Anyways, inside of S.P.D. (or also known as Space Patrol Delta) Earth Base, Schuyler 'Sky' Tate walked into the command center. They hadn't seen their lovely technical expert, Dr. Katherine 'Kat' Manx, all day and Elizabeth 'Z' Delgado, had went so far as to look for the feline woman but didn't find her.

"Commander, do you know where Kat is?" Sky asked.

"Yes... I know where she is." The commander replied.

"But Commander Cruger, why Kat's demeanour has been worsening all day?" Z asked.

"Plus, she always snapped at Boom, who ran away to continue the gadget testing away from her, then argue with you several times and shock all of us with a 'What's going on' look." Sydney 'Syd' Drew added.

"And she gets angry and fuming this passed week. What's—" Bridge Carson began, leaving Cruger to sigh.

Cruger came near to the console table and press a few keys in the keyboard. After a minute, a picture of a girl who had a long, brown hair, green eyes and freckles scattered on her cheeks. She also has pointy cat eat and fangs. And she looks like two years old.

"Liliana Manx? Who is she?" Bridge asked after he read the name.

"And why she and Kat had a same surname?" Z asked.

"Wait... I thought Dr. Felix and Kat was— You know—" Sky was interrupt when Cruger spoke up.

"She was Kat's daughter." The commander replied, simply. The B-Squad was shocked and jaw drop.

"SHE HAS A DAUGHTER?!" The yellow and pink ranger exclaimed in shock.

"If Liliana was Kat's daughter, then how come none of us know her?" The red ranger asked.

University of New York, 2019

A teenager girl, named Keisha Lance, who closed the door of her locker, creating an echo in the school corridor. It had just came to end of the day, so most of the students were walking around the hall to get ready to go home.

Keisha has many questions in her mind. Why she has cat ears, why she has fangs like cats and freckles (the reason why she always wear a mask), why her hands glow when she gets angry and etc. She asked her mom why she was so different from others but her mother told her that it was a gift. She was born gifted.

Keisha stop on walking as she heard a snake hiss inside her bag. She unzipped her sling bag and saw her lovely robot snake, curling inside.

"Viper, seriously?" She said as her snake fall asleep. She zipped her bag and went to the parking lot.

Once she arrived and spotted her car, she climbed in and buckled up. Then pulled away in the parking lot to her house.

While driving, Keisha's robot snake came out from her bag.

"Hi Vipes. How's your sleep?" Keisha asked the robot, who turned around as it's answer.

"Miss Lance." A woman voice said.

"Yes, Phoenix. What is it?"

New Tech City, 2029

Back to the base, the rangers was in the lounge room. Sky was sitting in the left side of the couch while Z was in the right side of the couch, who was trying to read but couldn't concentrate. Syd was sitting in the floor near at Z and Bridge was sitting in the bean bag chair.

Their minds reeling over what they had just found out that it didn't look good for Liliana Manx, who was kidnap many years ago. They knew those words must have been like taking a stab from Shadow Saber to the heart for Kat, whom they still had yet to see.

"I hope Kat's okay." Sky said as Syd looked up at Sky. "I mean, she doesn't usually just up and vanish like this."

"True." Z said then closed her book. " She doesn't just up and vanish like a bubble."

"I can't blame her..." Syd said as she looked at the others. "We can't blame her."

"She's right guys." Bridge said and runs his hands on his hair.

"Let's just hope that she was okay." Z said.

New York, 2019

Back to the New York, Keisha opened the door of her house once she arrived at the location.

"Mom! I'm home!" Keisha yelled as she closed the door and put her keys, back on her bag.

"Mom?!" Keisha yelled again but no one answering. She sighed and looked at the clock hanging in the wall. It reads 5:30 P.M.

"So mom was still at work and Naomi was probably with a new guy." She said on herself. She took a deep breath and went to her bedroom.

Once she reach the door of her bedroom, her heard a pair of voice talking on the other room.

She put her ear, well, cat ears, on the door and listen to the conversation.

"Savannah, you have to tell Keisha that she was just adopt." An female Australian accent said. Keisha's eyes grew wider as she heard those words.

"But Aime—"

"No 'buts' Sav... Tell her once she got home or I will tell her." Aime said. Keisha couldn't hold one more words. She went to her room, drop her bag on the floor and sat down on her bed more like two minutes. She stood up and and starts to pack her things.

6 jeans, 5 t-shirts, 7 crop tops, 4 jackets, 4 sleeveless shirt, 4 pair of pj's, and some undergarments. She also pack some food and water from her mini fridge. She took out her school stuff from her school bag and put her flute, laptop, tablet, and her daggers.

"Viper, come on." Keisha said as the robot went inside her bag. She left the house and walked to the streets when she was gone to a purple light.
