Darkness had engulfed you in a cold and sinister embrace.

You felt as if your body was floating on a cloud, it had felt like that for hours now or maybe it was a day. You had lost all time after counting all the way up to 6 hours, you got fed up with listening to your thoughts count numbers like a broken record player.
Instead, you played back all your memories you couldn't bare to address to yourself. All the guilt and regrets you had done in the past, you wish you could go back to your past self and tell them not to do it.

But the more you thought about it... The more you realise how much society has pressured the world on what they can and can't do.

"I can't believe I fell into their trap.." You sighed, you looked up at the middle of nowhere. You took a deep breath in.

"FUCK YOU, SOCIETY!!" You screamed, while flipping off the void.

A soft hum echoed in the void.

'Oh?' You thought, 'Why does it sound familiar?'

In a quick blink of an eye the floating clouds vanished, you began falling down into the nothing. Fear began spiralling in the pit of your stomach, you swung your arms hopelessly around subconsciously looking for something to cling to.
You felt a sudden instinct to take another deep breath but this time it was not to scream.

The darkness slowly turned to a more bluish colour, you turned your head behind you and saw a light. You reached out for it and open your mouth to call out, but bubbles only came out which gave you the realisation.

'I'm submerged?' Your face scrunched up in confusion but you didn't think about the strangeness of your current situation for too long as your lungs began to cry for air, you kicked your feet and used your arms to push up to the surface.

"AH!" You gasped as you break through the surface, you took deep breaths and brought the air back into your body. You glanced around quite quickly looking around your location, a few things you could confirm immediately was that it was really dark but the water you were currently swimming in had a strange glow to it which lightly gave the darkness a bit of light, the light revealed rocky dirt walls surrounding the large pool of water.

"A cave?" You spoke with such disbelief. You soon spot an area in which you can peacefully leave the freezing water, your bare feet and fingers were being to feel slightly numb from the cold. The water splashed and sloshed around as you swam towards the land, your clothes stuck to your body and your sleeves hung heavily from your arms.
Looking down at yourself you notice that you were not in the same clothes as you had previously been in, observing the material it was by far beautiful and seemingly hand sewn. It made you feel guilty for drenching this hand work in a lake of some sort, they would've spent hard long hours just to make it, each an every pattern.

Averting your gaze from the strange clothes you look around, this time you took in more details and began placing pieces of a puzzle together which proved to be a lot more difficult when you only have a few pieces to go with.

1. Finally decided to read a novel I didn't want to read.

2. I used a really freaky website to do so.

3. Was trapped in a nowhere black abyss for who knows how long.

And finally,

4. Almost drowned in a unfamiliar place, with weird clothes, in some cave.

'Where do I even go from here?' You thought to yourself, which was a completely valid thought. Even if you find away to get out of this cave, who is to say that whatever is out there is better than in here?
You highly doubt you can exit this cave and just magically appear in a place you recognise, life isn't that easy. However, despite all the pep talk about just staying in the cave, you come to terms it's a bit stupid. You can't just hide out in a cave for the rest of your life, it would be miserable and lame.

Groaning in annoyance, you gripped the strange clothes and squeeze it tight from water. A moment of silence few by as you noticed something very odd, it made you pause in your actions and your breathing to halt. In the puddle of the drained water was a boy, a very handsome yet beautiful boy, but one that you didn't recognise.
His expression was a mixture of shock and confusion, his eyes stared into your own through slightly longer lashes than your own but after after a slight turn of your head you realise that boy was you.

'What..' You snapped your head up from the puddle, eyes wide and began backing away from the watery mirror. That reflection wasn't you, from your perspective this boy looked like a hot dude everyone crushed on during high school.
Hell, even you would have a crush on this boy. He wasn't 'Hua Cheng's level of attractiveness, but he would only be a few points off! Maybe even surpassing Mu Qing!

Shaking the thoughts away, you look around for an exit just wanting to get away from the weirdness of the cave before you became more of a whacko. Placing your hands on the cave wall you felt around, you had the tendency to over look entrances or exits in video games because of your poor observation skills, so dragging your hand along the wall would stop you from missing any exits.
For a few minutes you only felt the uneven shape of the cave and the longer you go on the more painful the tips of your fingers became, the scratching of sharp and blunt rocks caused a bit of irritation. You push aside the feeling and continue on with the search for the exit, growing impatient you went to kick the wall. When you felt nothing hitting the tip of your toes you established two things.

That you found an exit and you have not shoes, how that managed to go unnoticed by you until now was a little impressive. You clearly had priorities and none of them was to save you from purposely kicking a wall...

You crouch down to the hole, it was a surprising large hole, unfortunately still small that you would have to army crawl through it. By all means you were not claustrophobic, spiders and other bugs were a different story, if a spider even came close to your personal bubble it would make you high pitch squeal in horror.
With a cry to the Gods and a deep breath, you began to crawl your way through the hole.

'May the heavens and ghosts, have mercy on my soul!' You cried while thinking of the your beloved novel.
