chapter 2

Leo POV

I blinked open my eyes sleepily. There's something important going on right now, I just don't know what it is. I thought and stretched my arms out. I must have fallen asleep while I was building Frank's box last night…
Frank's box!!
I forgot to give Frank his box!
I rushed to get ready and headed out the door in record time, sprinted to Thalia's tree, and looked for Hazel.
There!
I jogged over to her, she was standing next to Jason, Piper, and Frank, "Sorry, slept in,"

She glared at me, "Where have you been?!" She snapped.

"Did you get the thing I asked you to make?" Frank asked.

I breathed in sharply, "Aw, man! I'll be right back!" I ran back to my house, snatched his gift from his desk, and zoomed back to where they were waiting, "Okay! I'm back!"

But Frank and Hazel were not amused.

In fact, comically enough, they were literally tapping their toes in annoyance.

"About time," Frank said, he held out his hand.

"Hey, where were you? You almost missed us! We're going away, you know," said Jason as he and piper jogged up to him.

"Oh, you know, here and there," Leo joked.

"Dude, this is not a joking matter, we almost couldn't say goodbye," Jason looked hurt.

Percy and Annabeth strided over, "Hey, Leo!" Percy said.

Everyone but Percy and Annabeth glared at Leo.

"Uhhh," Annabeth said, noticing the tension," whats going on?"

Everyone started talking at once, I was beginning to get overwhelmed. I noticed flames flickering around my hands.

"Hey, guys, chill!" Annabeth said, " you do realize he helped you, don't you?"

My eyes felt hot and I began to see red, "Look, Annabeth, I don't need you to fight my battles, okay?" I snapped, working to stay calm.

And that's when everything got chaotic.

Everyone started yelling at me at once and my skin felt hot. I could feel my fire spreading over my body.

"Okay, will everybody just SHUT UP already!" I cried, panicking because now it was spreading out on the ground toward the trees.

Then everyone disappeared in a big flash of golden light.

Annabeth POV

I blinked and we all appeared in the big house living room where Chiron was calmly drinking coffee.
Chiron looked at us surprised,"Children, what are you doing here?" He asked with confusion in his voice. 
"You tell us," Percy said, confused. 
He was always confused. Aww seaweed brain.
We all stopped arguing when we popped in the big house. 
"Just tell me what happened."
We are all silent.
 Hazel finally spoke, "Well we were going to leave, but Leo wasn't there. And he had, well,"she stammered, glancing at Frank, "Something I asked him to make me. So he gave it to me when Frank said he also needed something that Leo made him. He forgot, so he ran back and got it. That's when Piper and Jason came over." She finished looking at jason.

"When me and Pipes came over I was upset he almost missed us leaving."
"Yeah", Piper added."We never would have slept in if anyone else was leaving,'' she said glaring at Leo. He opened his mouth to retort.

Before another argument broke out Annabeth broke in,"That's when we came over." She nodded at Percy. "I was trying to stick up for Leo, but he got mad at me. And then we all started yelling."
"Next thing we knew we popped up here," Percy finished. 

"Is that what happened?" Chiron asked Leo. Who was uncharacteristically quiet.

He was frowning at the chair next to Chiron and didn't answer.

"Leo, dude, answer his question." Jason said, still annoyed.

"Hera?" he said instead.
