And then again,

If we're not friends

There'd be nothing I could do

"Please," He plead softly "It wont hurt you."

Miley sighed as she pushed the plate away. She had gotten out of bed by his demand and he made her the simplest thing he could; a salad, but she still wont eat it like it was a month-old 5000 calorie pizza.

"One bite." He tried again "Just eat a piece of that tomato."

"If I do, can I go back to bed?"

He hesitated "Alright."

Miley took out a fork and stabbed a small slice of the reddest tomato and put it in her mouth. "There." She said while chewing.

"Swallow it." He told her and she glared at him. "Just swallow it, Mile." She opened her mouth before quickly covering it with her hand. She took a napkin and gagged into it before she could eaten the whole thing and regretting it. She wanted to have control.

"Why'd you do that??" Nick asked, he was outraged but he stayed calm. "Because I can't eat that." She replied casually and dabbed her mouth.

"Oh?" He challenged "So what can you eat?"

"Stop," She muttered "I think you should leave now."

He sighed in frustration "Don't do this," He said.

"I can take care of myself. Will you please just leave?" She said, looking away and fiddling with the hem of her shirt "Patrick will be home soon, anyway."

"You want me to leave?"

"Yes."

"Do you want me to come back tomorrow?" He found himself asking and she paused.

Yes, please. "You don't have to if you want." She replied.

"What do you want?" He snapped.

Miley shrugged nervously "I don't-I don't know." She mumbled and slowly looked up to meet his gaze. He was staring at her sharply, and he didn't even blink. He was confused, because he felt like she needed some time alone but he was scared that if he leaves she'd do it again. Just like she said it herself 'You make me happy. And it's like you take the happiness away when you go.'

It was the most heart-breaking thing. And he never wanted to go, he even wished he hadn't had left. Now she's saying the opposite thing and he didn't know if he could believe her. "Don't be so sad when I leave, okay?"

It wasn't exactly a nice thing to say, telling someone with issues to 'not be so sad' was like telling someone with cancer to stop having cancer, he knew it wouldn't help but he didn't know what else to say or how else to let her know he's frightened to think she'll be upset again. "Okay." She replied simply. "You can call me whenever," He paused "Please call me."

"I will." She said as she turned to him with a smile "I'm going to be alright though, thanks."

No, she won't. He didn't know she won't be alright, but there's nothing else he could do. He's giving a hand to someone who wont take it, the only thing he could do is reach out closer and pray to God she'll finally take it.

Nick returned the smile, but his stomach flipped with concern and anxiety. There was so much reason to worry. He placed his hand around her back and pulled her into him, she let him hold her tight as he kissed the side of her face, he didn't realize it, he only wanted her to know he's there for her. "Bye," He whispered into her hair and she cuddled into him, she wanted to cry and beg him not to leave.
