Bright sighed as he finished off. He literally told dew everything from the day he started feeling something was off in his marriage till today how Win was doubting him.
"Okay so you mean Win doesn't trust you anymore because you are coming home late or rather too occupied with your work that you cant help but come home late."
"Yeah, you could say that. Now I don't understand how to explain this to him that suddenly my work pressure has increased and I can't compromise on that"
They both sat in silence for a moment and then Dew said something which caused a pain in Bright's chest
"So you are saying that compromising on your family is better then ?"........
"It's simple Bright, you are not keeping your work and personal lives separate. And it's something very dangerous....
I still remember that pathetic day when my mom was taking her last breaths in the hospital and my dad..........
he was occupied with his so called work. I-I have seen this already" Dew spoke in a hushed voice.
"I-I am so sorry Dew" "it's-it's okay, it's in the past, doesn't matter a-anymore." He controlled the tears beginning to fall.
"But back to you, I think you should really sort this out because I feel you are at a major fault here."
"Oh really like now you are putting up everything on me? You have met me and you didn't even meet Win" Bright pouted
Dew sighed and turned to Bright
"Bright listen to me, I am not taking sides here, I am just stating the fact. You really need to create a line between your work life and personal life and you.. you only told me right that you have a beautiful daughter with whom you don't even remember when was the last time you spent time with her.... so do it for her, think about it.... what is the use of working so much to earn for your family when you are not getting any time with them. Bright at the end of the day, they need you, your time and nothing else. Trust me" Dew smiled and said in a gentle voice which was almost like music to his ears but he won't accept it.....
Bright smiled back and gave a sigh of relief. His mind then drifted back to his and Win's conversation when he said that both the father and daughter need bright's time and nothing else. That is the same thing that Dew explained right now then why did it seem so clear to Bright now only and not when Win was telling him.
"You got it or want me to give more of this pep talk?" Dew teased him and giggled
"Ughhh stop it now" Bright chuckled lightly
"see you look so handsome like this, the sad face doesn't suit you" Dew scrunched his nose cutely while saying this
They both were starting at each other while smiling but soon the reality hit Bright and he cleared his throat and looked away.
"Soo I-I think I will go now, it's quite late and then I need to clear out everything with Win as soon as possible." Bright said awkwardly
"Y-Yeah definitely, you s-should go."
They both got down from the terrace and headed towards the exit of the club. Once they were out Bright turned around to say a final bye when Dew asked something unexpected
"Bright, c-can I hug you ?" He said in a whisper, enough for Bright to hear
"Huh?" Bright was shocked would be an understatement. Feeling embarrassed Dew said "never mind" and turned around when bright blurted out a "yes".
Both of them gasped and stood still.
Dew turned around with a small smile and made his way towards Bright. He hugged him. There was this sense of comfort and security he was feeling.
It's been so long someone treated him this way and he was longing for it. Though he knew it was wrong of him to hug someone else's husband so affectionately but Bright was the first man who made him feel at ease.
