Julianne simply sat there, near a still shocked Natasha. One was trying to regain her energy quickly, and the other was processing the frightful event she went through. It was silent, neither of them feeling the need or want to talk. They could hear commotion from various places on the helicarrier. And eventually, they could decipher the loud growls of the green monster they had faced barely a few minutes earlier. She was extremely grateful for Thor showing up because she wouldn’t have been able to hold on for another minute. Seriously great timing.

“I swear if anyone ever calls me Icegirl again after this, I’m throwing a fit.” She mumbled, shifting so she was sitting on her posterior. It was a small joke to ease the tension in the room and though Natasha did not smile or laugh, it seemed as though she slightly snapped back to reality. But she was still shaking.

Then, the blonde started rolling, ending up a few steps away from the redhead, who luckily for her, was already against the wall. The helicarrier seemed to be tilting, either that or her body was defying gravity.

“What the fuck?” She exclaimed, resting on her elbows and looking towards the older woman.

After a moment, Natasha brought her hand to her ear shakily. “This is Agent Romanoff. I copy.” She said before getting up.

“Wait, what? Hey! Why don’t I have an earpiece?!” She yelled after the agent who was walking away. “Oh yeah, walk away, leave the probably youngest person on this motherfucking ship alone, surrounded by people with guns, a green monster and people from other planets. Amazing.” She groaned.

“Now I get why people say you’re like your father.” She heard. Looking up, she saw William rushing, or more like, sliding towards her and helping her get back on her feet.

“Yeah, I get that a lot.” He checked her to see if she was badly hurt, but despite a few bruises, and possibly more hidden under her suit, she seemed overall fine so he sighed in relief, signaling her to follow after him as he started making his way out of the lower engine room.

“So, what’s going on? Why does it feel like we’re on a hamster wheel?” She struggled to walk properly so he offered his hand as support.

“We’ve been hit by Loki’s men. Engine three is down. Mr. Stark and the Captain are on it. And now engine one is apparently down too. Barton is messing with the systems and the rest of the followers are attacking the crew to distract them from patching up the engines.” He briefed her, as they finally got out of the lower engine room, making their way to the bridge quickly.

“Has anyone seen Stark Junior?” They heard Fury yell loudly the second they made it to the bridge.

“Here!” She replied.

“Take this.” He threw her an earpiece. “Engine three. Go assist Stark. We’re losing altitude.” She nodded, setting the earpiece in her ear, glancing at Agent Russell before rushing out.

When she arrived at the scene, she almost fell because of the intensity of the wind and the first thing she saw was Steve hanging on a wire for his dear life. She felt a sudden urge to laugh but shrugged it off when she heard gunshots. They came from the lower ground, looking over the metal bridge, she saw a gunman who hadn’t noticed her yet. She took the opportunity to jump down, and leaned on the doorframe, behind which he was hiding.

“Hey there, Elmer Fudd, how’s it hanging?” She smirked, her blue eyes shining bright as she lunged at him.

The man aimed at her, attempting to shoot her but her reflexes were fast enough and she had tilted the gun towards the ceiling. It was a fight for power as they were both tugging on it to take control. Julianne used her powers to freeze the barrel, which stopped the bullets from coming out. This seemed to have taken the gunman by surprise as he stopped for a slight moment, giving the girl the opportunity to snatch the gun away and hit the man in the head with it. Once he fell to the ground, unmoving, she stepped outside again.

“Cap hit the lever!” She heard her father say in the earpiece.

The young blonde could see the soldier still hanging from the side of the ship by a power cord. “I need a minute!”

“Lever! Now!”

“I’m on it!” Julianne said in the earpiece. She looked around, not seeing anything resembling a lever. “Where the hell is that lever?!”

“It’s the red lever up here!” Steve indicated as he just reached the end of the wire, trying to grab on the metallic floor.

Julianne looked up and saw it. She took a few steps back, calmly creating an ice staircase to the upper floor. She then ran up and jumped over the iron fence, reaching to pull the lever as she could hear her father’s grunts in her ear. The engine was now stabilized. Iron Man came out of the spinning blades that sucked him in, righting himself and flew back to the ship. His daughter helped Steve up then looked at both of them.

“Good job, gentlemen.” She congratulated.

“Thanks for the help, Tiny Temper.” Tony said.
