"Mor'du, Mor'du, now the time has come for all of us to slaughter you. Hooray! Mor'du, Mor'du..."

King Fergus was standing in the throne room with all the clans and leading them in song about killing Mor'du.

...

Merid and (Y/n) peeked through the door that led to the kitchens to find it empty. They quietly crept in, and Merid set the cake down on the counter. He then lifted (Y/n) onto the counter by her waist.

"Stay there. I'll take care of everything."

Merid prepared a lot of tea, and placed the cake on a plate along with some blueberries, and a flower. He placed all these things on a tray and prepared to take it to his mother. (Y/n) hopped off the counter and started to follow them, when a door opened behind them.

"Merid! (Y/n)!" It was Queen Elinor.

"Mum! Ooh, uh...I, uh..." Merid stammered.

"Oh, I've been worried sick." Elinor told them.

"You...You we're?"

Elinor came up and grabbed his shoulders.

"I didn't know where you two had gone or when you'd come back. I didn't know what to think. Oh, look at both of your clothes." She fussed.

"Oh. Angus threw us. But we're not hurt."
(Y/n) reassured.

"Well, you're both home now, so that's the end of it."

"Honestly?" Merid asked in shock.

"I've pacified the lords for now. Your father's out there 'entertaining' them." Elinor chuckled.

...

"Come taste my blade, you manky bear. For gobbling up my leg, I'll hunt you then I'll skin you, hang your noggin on a peg."

...

"Of course we both know a decision still has to be made." Elinor spoke hesitantly and clasped her hands together.

Merid sighed in frustration before grabbbing the plate with the cake on it and holding it out for her.

"What's this?" Elinor asked.

"It's a peace offering. I made it. For you. Special." Merid explained.

"You made this for me?" Elinor asked in disbelief.

She took the fork and took a bite of the cake.

"Mm." She hummed in delight before it change to a look of disgust. "Oh, interesting flavor."

"How do you feel?" Merid asked.

"What...What is that?"

"Different?"

"Mm...Tart and, um, gamy." Elinor gagged.

"Have you changed your mind at all about the marriage and all that?" Merid asked hopefully.

Elinor wasn't listening. She took a huge gulp of tea to get rid of the taste and gargled it a bit.

"Oh, that's better." She breathed, before straightening back up. "Now, why don't we go upstairs to the lords, and put this whole kerfuffle to rest? Hm."

Elinor and Merid started to make their way upstairs with (Y/n) following close behind them.

They almost made it to the throne room when Elinor suddenly got dizzy and lent against the wall.
