Chapter 12

(Alicia POV)

Two hours later Sammie texted me to open the door. I went to open the door and he came in and took his shoes off and got comfortable on the couch.

"Ray won't bother you no more and if he do let me know he good as dead you understand." I just nodded my head but was thankful for Sammie to handle this for me.

"How did you even meet Ray?" I just sighed and played with my fingers. I really didn't want to open this wound again but its the least I can do since he got me free of him.

"My mom use to date Ray and lets just say my mom was not the best mom in the world. She was on drugs pretty much all my life.

And after while Ray got tired of her being on drugs and was going to leave. See my mom couldn't have that because he payed all the bills, she didn't work. She asked him what she got to do to get him to stay.

He wanted to sell me and she allowed it."

At this point tears was coming down my eyes.

"So at ten years old my mom gave me to Ray to get him to pay the bills just so she can freely use drugs and not work. And do you want to know the worst part of it all."

"What's that." "My mom would be in the house hearing me scream for Ray or his other men to get off me and she would do nothing."

"Damn I'm sorry that happened to you, but now you have a chance to get your life together." I just nodded my head in agreement.

"Alright enough of this lets watch a movie and order pizza." "Alright but before we do that I got to tell you something."

"What's up." I fiddled with my fingers nervous as hell. The least I could do is be honest and tell him I originally became cool with him to spy on him for Zari mom.

I know this could potentially make me lose him as a friend but this has been eating me up.

"Hello, earth to Alicia what the hell you got to tell me?" "Sammie just know when I took this job it was originally to get the money to pay for my freedom.

But anyway a while back Zari mom came to me and asked if I could get close to you since Zari left you and get information on you. But you so secretive I never got much out of you except how you felt about Zari. Just know our friendship is important to me, and I cut it off with her mom a week ago."

I just sat with my head down scared of what he will say or do. "Damn first secrets from Zari now you what else I'ma get hit with."

I looked up and he was shaking his head. "Is there anything else I need to know?"

"Just that Zari is my half sister we have the same dad." "What!"

"Yea our dad wasn't shit and ain't no telling what other kids he got out here. And Zari knows as well she actually knew I was spying on you but didn't want me to stop she wanted her mom to think she had one up on her."

"What the fuck you mean she knew all this." "Like I said she knew she checked me about it. Sammie she knows more than you think, thats why I think you should talk to her."

He just nodded his head and got up and started putting his shoes on. "Is our friendship over?" He opened the door and looked back at me.

"You have to earn your trust back from me because now I don't trust you anymore but other than that we cool. I appreciate you being honest with me and telling me."

He closed the door and left me in my thoughts.
