It was middle of the night in Vale, things were relatively peaceful ever since Roman Torchwick was sent to prison a year ago. While crime was still present, it wasn't nothing the police force couldn't handle without help, though.
In the city's museum building, a night shift guard was making his rounds, whistling to himself as he walked around. However, he stopped when he could have sworn he heard chucklign adn snickering.
"What?? Who's there???" The guard questioned. "I swear to the gods if some kids broke in again and are playing pranks, i'm gonna be asking for an alarm system that goes off someone without a badge enters the building at night after closing."
The night guard went to investigate the source of the noise, only to find nothing actually standing there, but he could still hear the snickers and whispering.
"Whoever's here, just come on out so I can get you out of here!!" The night guard calls out. "I've got the keys to leave the building and can get you out and not report it as long as you just show yourself so I can get you out."
He went to get closer to the snickering and whispers, finding that it leads to the exhibit about Grimm.
"Why'd it have to lead to this exhibit??????" The guard mumbled under his breath
As some eerie music began to kick in, he saw a faint glow from underneath one of the doors in the exhibit.
"What the???" The guard comments
The guard opens the door to something absolutely terrifying as it enduces a blood curdling scream. Then, a logo began to fade into view before the camera pulled back showing a logo of a ghost in a red with a diagonal slash across it and it was the 'o' in the phrase it was part of as well.

Now being daytime in Vale, it was as if no one was talking about what happened last night.

However, at Beacon Academy, learning place of all sorts of Huntsmen and Huntresses, but people were training for fights practically.

But, in Vale itself, Team RWBY was attempting to sort of move into a multi-level apartment building, something having happened causing them to get booted out of Beacon.

In her section of the apartment, Ruby put her weapon, Crescent Rose, on a weapon mount above her bed, sighing.
"Well, Ruby Rose, you at least tried your main dream in life. Surely there's something else out there for you to try to pull off." Ruby reassured herself
Ruby unpacked a couple of pictures and placed them around her room. Mostly pictures from her past time at Beacon, even dating all the way back to her first day.
"Hey, Ruby, what do you want to eat????" Yang called out from the living room
Ruby jumped a little before leaving her room and responding with, "I could really go for some Chinese to be perfectly honest, Yang, why'd you ask?"
"The girls and I were gonna head into town to get some snacks after we just finished moving in. Wanted to know what you want us to get you." Yang responds as she put on her jacket
"Oh, I see." Ruby comments. "But yeah, just get me some Chinese food."
"Chinese it is." Yang comments as she stepped out where Weiss and Blake were waiting
As her three teammates left, Ruby sat down on the couch, pulling out her scroll, starting to play a few various games on it to kill the time. However, she sighed, putting her scroll down and turned on the TV, going to the news channel. On it was a news report of what happened last night at the museum.
"Here we are now, with the security guard who saw the unknown creature in the Grimm exhibit." The reporter spoke
"I-I-I-I-It was just awful. I was just minding my own business, doin' my rounds, and then I heard all sorts of noises and when I managed to track it to the source, there was this....this.....this six limbed THING just floating there and then it roared at me with this ungodly noise and I don't even know what to do, I don't know if I should quit or stay!" The guard comments
Ruby went wide eyed.
"A six legged creature that was just floating??? And in a museum???" Ruby comments. "Sounds like he saw some sort of a ghost."
Ruby bolted over to her room and began digging through her things, as if she was searching.
"Come on, I know it's in here somewhere...." Ruby comments, still digging through her things
During her search, she tossed the item onto her bed, falling back when trying to catch it.

"There you are, meter." Ruby comments, picking up the device
The device itself was what she called a PKE Meter, a device meant for picking up the signal of supernatural beings and even Geists. She flicked it on to make sure it was still working and sure enough it was. When turning it back off, she grabbed her handbag and put the PKE Meter in the bag before leaving her room after cleaning up what she dug out, adn she got out of her room jsut as the other three got back with the food.
"Hey, sis, what's got you in such a rush?" Yang asked
"And why do you look so excited?" Blake adds
Ruby took a deep breath to try to explain things to her three teammates.
