Team RWBY: Ghostbusters

Chapter 4

Late that month, the devices Weiss mentioned finally arrived and the girls were in the back office on the ground level as she got to opening the box. But first, she grabbed the note that was on the box. Well, only ones not directly over there were Ruby and Yang, Ruby being upstairs as Yang was finishing up the engine work on the Chevy Caprice, now dubbed 'ECTO-1'

"'Just a heads up, Weiss, these things run on a heavily scaled down in size nuclear reactor called a Cyclotron. And these were from a recently abandoned weapons experiment the general issued to be ran. -Whitley'." Weiss read

Weiss pulled out a box cutter and cuts open the box, pulling out one of the four devices that was packed in it, but all the devices really looked the same.

This was a proton pack, an advanced nuclear reactor that could be worn on the wearer's back for various reasons that it is programmed to be able to do. Even try to shoot ghosts.

"Thing's heavy." Weiss comments. "Which is why I had Yang help me bring in the box earlier."

When they eventually got the packs over to the Ecto with Yang's help, Riuby came down holding a box with a bunch of pedals of some kind and other cam corder like devices on them that said 'GHOST TRAP' on the yellow bad black caution striped doors

A/N:I can't for the life of me remember who made this custom ghost trap design, but if you know, tell me.

"Got the traps finished." Ruby comments, taking her goggles off

The phone began ringing just as Ruby began putting each trap into the back of the Ecto-1, Ruby bolting over to answer the phone after she finished loading each trap into the Ecto.

"Hello, this is the Ghostbusters, we make your supernatural problem our supernatural problem..........uh huh.......yeah, sure, just let me get a pen and paper to write down the address." Ruby comments to the caller as she pulls out a paper and pen, writing down the address. "Uh huh.......sure......yeah, you'll know when we get there. Trust me.........okay, bye."

The other three looked at her.

"We got a call, girls." Ruby comments

They all ran over to their respective lockers and opened them, showing that in them, uniforms were hanging. One in each.

As they put on the uniforms frantically before getting into the Ecto-1, Yang being the driver as they roared out of the firehouse, the doors closing on their own behind them as it swerved around a corner, heading to the location of the call.

When they got there, the Ecto-1 pulled up into the parking lot outside of a jailhouse.

They all got out quickly and got their proton packs out of the Ecto and made sure they had their proton packs on properly and each of them had a trap holstered on their belts with the pedal before entering the jailhouse and meeting the person who called them.

"Thank you girls for getting here so quickly." The caller comments

"What room did you say you saw them in?" Blake asks, talking about the ghosts the caller reported seeing

"I saw the two ghosts I called about in Cell Block D." The caller stated. "Be careful, cause those things can control electricity."

"We'll be fine. Just leave the ghost catching to us." Ruby reassured

The caller nodded as Team RWBY headed further into the jailhouse.

As they walked, Ruby sighed.

"you know, it's just now occurred to me we haven't tested this gear yet." Ruby comments

"Well, guess now's gonna determine how effective it is." Weiss comments. "Also, we should probably split up to try to find the ghosts."

"Good idea." Yang responds. "Weiss, Ruby, you explore the north end of Cell Block D and Blake and I will check the rooms around it in case those ghosts slipped out and through the walls. We try to corner the ghosts in Cell Block D before trying to capture them."

Everyone nodded before going to where they were set to go in the splitting up.
