Trapped in Silence

Chapter 7

Once again you find yourself seated between the two women. Everyone has started eating but your sat there with an empty plate. Nat leans over "is everything alright?" You tap Wanda on her hand then tap your head asking her to read your mind. "I'm waiting for permission". "Oh y/n you don't have to wait for permission, you're free to do anything you like". Considering the rest of the team didn't know your past, they give confused looks but quickly turned away as nat had glared them down. After the group finished you quickly pick up everyone's plates and begin to wash them making sure nothing is left but your reflection. Seeing you do this Wanda picks you up with her powers and sets you back in your seat while she walks towards the sink. Everyone else had already left the table so it is just you two. "I want you to know that anything you have done in the past, you do not have to do now. You are safe and nobody is going to hurt you. They will have to get through me and nat first". You don't normally like showing emotion but you can't help it. She has done nothing but be kind and has taken you in. Holding back your tears you slowly nod and get up once again to help clean. This time she lets you as you have now realized you are no longer trapped, suffocating under the control of your father. Finishing up the dishes you then make your way towards the common area where everyone else is. "Nice of you two to show up" Stark says as you make your way to the farthest couch but making sure Wanda is close by. "I was just telling everyone that we have a mission tomorrow and I would like it if you came along y/n. We wanna see what you can do". You give him a nod. "Great now before we get to excited, let's play a game, how about truth or dare?" Everyone agrees and we all sit in a circle. "Alright I'll go first, pietro truth or dare?", "Dare", "I dare you to run to McDonald's and get me a cone" "but Stark you just ate" "a dares a dare maximoff". Rolling his eyes pietro runs off and comes back with a cone for Tony. "Now I get to choose, y/n put up one finger for truth and two for dare". You put up one finger. "Do you have any powers?" You shake your head no and the game continues. You allow everyone else to ask the questions while you only answer when you get asked. After a few more rounds cap chooses you. Putting up a two cap says " I dare you to let wanda show us the memories you showed her". Wanda stands up outraged. "Steve are you kidding me, what do you need to prove with this". You gently grab Wanda's hand letting her know it's okay. "We need to know she's not a threat", "is my word not good enough?" "I need to see for myself". You decide to switch to nats hand as you position yourself in front of Wanda. Giving a nod you hold tighter onto nats hand and before you know it, the same flashback is replaying in your head.
