I groan as I sit up getting comfortable against the wall. Great, the sun hasn't even come up and now I won't be able to go back to sleep. I decide to roam the streets as it's only 2 in the morning and there most likely won't be anyone out. I continued down the street before seeing a group of drunks walking out of one of the night clubs, guess they had some fun. I pull my hood up and keep my head down as I pass but one of them decides to get cocky and grab my wrist. I turn around to stare at the man who grabbed me when I find myself surrounded by the rest. "Well, well, well what's a lovely lady like you doing out here this early in the morning". If only they knew my past they wouldn't think of me as "lovely". I stare at the man until he grows frustrated. "You got a staring problem sweetheart?" He goes to grab the back of my head when I duck down and knee him in the stomach causing him to let go and for me to slip through the opening he made. Him and his boys are now furious and start to advance towards me. I realize I am still injured and I won't be able to take them all out by myself so I opted to run. I quickly turn around and start sprinting the way I came. I take a right down an alley way as I hear the gang yelling after me. I see a fire escape on the side of an apartment and manage to get to the top before realizing there is nowhere else I can really go. I tried to turn around but the gang had followed me and is now blocking my only exit. My only options are to either let the boys take me and possibly get beaten or take a chance and jump to the next roof. Welp, how bad can falling from a building be right, we'll say a few scratches. That's enough for me. I slowly start to back up before going full sprint towards the edge of the roof. Taking that last step I managed to slip and now my chances of making it are slim. Before I could think of how to break my fall my fingers caught onto the edge of the building. I pull myself up and look back to see the gang peering over the edge and staring at me. I give them a quick salute and start to walk away. "YOUR CRAZY MAN" was all I heard before taking the next fire escape down and jogging away.
