Trapped in Silence

Chapter 9

This is the first time you wake with a smile on your face. You never thought you would see the day with no nightmares. Noticing that Wanda has already gone, you get ready and head to the meeting room with an extra pep in your step (I believe that's the saying). Entering the room smiling you sit down next to Wanda. "Alright it's time for the briefing" says Stark as he stands in front of the room. "We will be taking down a hydra base a couple miles from the tower. I want everyone in teams of two, in which I will be assigning. Me and thor will take to the skies, nat and clint will take front entrance, bucky and Sam west wing, pietro and cap east wing and Wanda and y/n will bring up the back. Banner will stay here and prep medical for return just in case. We head out in an hour so everyone get ready. While everyone disperses Wanda pulls you aside. "Are you sure your gonna be able to do this, I mean what if you see your father". I shudder at the thought of seeing him again but I wanted to prove to the team that I could do this. I can help just as much as they can and I am surely no threat. I give her a reassuring nod and head back to our room to change. Realizing I don't actually have a suit I dress into some joggers and a loose shirt. I know I could get hurt but it won't be anything I haven't come across before. Since I don't have any weapons either I head across the hall to nats room and knock twice. I guess she figured what was happening because when the door opened she immediately handed me a couple knifes and a handgun. Once Wanda walked out of the room, we headed towards the jet and the rest of the team. It took 30 minutes to get to the base and as soon as we landed all hell broke loose. So much for a surprise attack. Everyone quickly got into position taking out as many guards as they could and headed towards there designated areas. Once me and Wanda arrived at the back, she used her powers to lockpick the door and allowed us to enter the base. We immediately knew something was wrong as the silence seemed to be louder than the chaos happening outside. We weave through different hallways until we find a file room. Searching through different documents I hear Wanda scream behind me before getting hit hard and blacking out.
