"Alright, guys. Nationals are just a few weeks away and it's time to bear down" Mr. Schuester spoke. He was sat down on the piano while the New Directions were rehearsing."Now, your singing at Regionals was amazing, but your dancing..." the teacher spoke, mostly looking at Finn. He hopped off the piano, "It's bootycamp time!"
A few of the Glee Club members seemed happy about it, others were less thrilled.
"I like bootycamp. It's the only time in Glee Club where Schuester doesn't criticize me" Florence whispered to Sam as she helped him with the dance moves.
Suddenly, someone fell to the ground. Not realizing what was happening at first, Sam happily continued practicing his dancing. It wasn't until everyone gathered around in the middle of the stage when he released something was going on.
Rachel was laying down on the floor, one hand on her nose as Finn mumbled all kinds of apologies. Mr. Schuester helped her back onto her feet and she was quickly brought to the doctor.
Not much later, Rachel returned from the doctor. She had a big bandage on her colorful, swollen nose. Apparently, the doctor she went to had talked her into considering a nose job, and now, Rachel tried her best talking the Glee Club into it.
"Oh my God, you're getting a nose job" Quinn whispered.
"I'm considering having a minor procedure to repair my deviated septum" Rachel spoke, slightly twisting Quinn's words.
"So, a nose job" Florence concluded.
Rachel sighed "Look, I'm happy with the way that I look, okay? And I've embraced my nose. But let's say I wanted to have a slightly more demure nose. Like Quinn's for example. I would never change my appearance for vanity but I mean, the doctor said that it could possibly improve my talent, which would help us all for Nationals"
"Possibly? What about the risks? Your voice is amazing as it is, Rachel" Mr. Schuester spoke, concern in his voice.
"Hold up. Could we all just get real here for a second?" Santana interrupted, "I hear that Rachel's got a bit of a schnoz. I wouldn't know because, like medusa, I try to avoid eye contact with her. But can we all just stop lying about how there aren't things that we wouldn't change about ourselves?" She said, looking around for examples
"I mean, I'm sure that Sam has been at the doctor's office and rifled through pamphlets on mouth reduction. I bet his little girlfriend has looked online at pills that could somehow make her grow a few inches over night" Santana bitched, looking over at the two a few chairs away from her.
"She's right though... I checked, they don't exist" Florence sighed
"I think Artie has thought about having his legs removed since he's not really using them anyways. And I'm definitely sure Tina has looked into getting an eye de-slanting" Santana continued
"That's extraordinarily racist" Tina spoke
"I'm keeping it real"
"Sorry Santana, I'm a beautiful person. I'm in love with myself and I would never change a thing" Tina confidently spoke
"Is that why you're wearing blue contacts today, Tina?" Mike mumbled, "Self -hating Asian" he softly added
"Not many Asian sex symbols, Mike. I'm just trying to be in fashion and mirror what I see in the magazines" Tina shot
"My dancing kinda bothers me. Uh... it almost killed Rachel, but I like the way I look" Finn smiled
"Look, maybe Rachel is fine with having an enormous beak. Maybe she needs it to crack hard seeds... All I'm saying that if you look in the mirror and don't like what you see, you should change it" Santana spoke
