Chapter 16. Blushing

After the awkward discord call with Alex and his friends, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling of butterflies in her stomach. She knew Alex must be mortified, but she would be lying if she said she minded he got excited from his friends teasing him. She kept replaying the events from earlier in her head repeatedly, and each time her mind jumped to that moment her face would burn red.

Alex however, was hiding in his bedroom. He was laying face down on his bed, he felt humiliated he got an erection, especially over his friend's ridiculous teasing. He couldn't help it however, they kept putting the dirty thoughts in his mind about Y/N. It was just his body reacting naturally, no big deal. But it was a big deal, because whenever he would get dirty thoughts about Y/N he could control his urges, or he could find a way to hide it. This time was different. It's getting progressively harder to hide his feelings for her. He's been tempted to tell her on multiple occasions about how he feels, but he hasn't been able to bring himself to do it.

Y/N has strong feelings for Alex as well. It was easier for her to keep them to herself though. Whenever her friends would call her she would talk their ear off about Alex. How good looking he is, how funny he is, how he makes her smile, and even the unexpected way they met. It makes Y/N smile whenever she remembers their first encounter. This friendship has grown from a typo, an error in the postal system. Now, the same boy she figured she'd never see again, the boy who delivered all her mail for weeks in December, the boy who took her out to grab coffee, that same boy is the person who's drove her crazy.

Y/N drives him crazy as well, physically and mentally. He humiliated himself in front of her, all because his body can't control the insane amount of love, and even lust that he has for the girl. The 'mystery girl' with all the missing mail. Little did he know she would be the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, he loves her smile, the way her eyes light up when she laughs, the way her body moves when she walks.

Alex lets out a small groan and rolls over, staring up at his ceiling, and with that the vent on his ceiling. The vent that connects his apartment with Y/N's. He loves their little chats they have through them, he cherishes every chance he gets to talk with her. But now the question lingers, would him getting visibly aroused taint their friendship? Did he gross her out?

He lets out a small whine as his face flushed pink again, he was embarrassed all over again by just remembering the events.

Y/N was holding her phone in her hand, she was going to text Alex about what happened. It was time to address the elephant in the room. She didn't want the events that occurred to ruin their friendship, in fact, this made Y/N wonder, 'did Alex like her?'
She was never one to have boys chasing her, or have any secret admirers, but why would he get a boner if he didn't like her? Or even feel anything romantic towards her.

She types out a text, overthinking every possible response Alex could give her. Every word she typed she would look at carefully, her fingers were shaky as she pressed each individual letter. She was inviting him over so they could talk face to face about the situation, and if she worked up enough courage, she would ask him why that even happened.

The two were in their respective apartments stewing over the same question, 'do they have feelings for me?'
However they wouldn't know about that just yet. They sat in their apartments, both embarrassed, but both were blushing. Blushing, blushing, blushing, just like little kids again with their crushes. The excitement and giddy feelings were definitely a rush, it was like a high.

But soon enough they would know the truth to their burning questions. The questions that hung themselves up to each other's mind. These beautiful thought in their mind.
