There was a new found happiness in the family. There they welcomed a baby girl which is said to be the angel of house. In Muslims we say ' when God is happy he gives a baby girl in the house ' and this is what happened in the house which made them all happy and content as the daughter in law of the house gave a baby girl in the house .
While everyone was happy and talking and looking at the baby. Shehnaaz looked at everyone's happy face with a slight smile on her face. She found that happiness on Aafan's face which was lost due to her. She could see her mother's happy and gleeful eyes shinned in happiness . She wanted to see the same happiness on their faces when they get to know about her being Pregnant .
As Samia entered the house that day. She quickly went to shehnaaz and locked the room saying the boys that they have to do something personal. Though they both were their husbands but still.
" Ye le! " Samia gave her the pregnency kit. Taking it Shehnaaz hid it in the drawer somewhere as she couldn't just go and check at the moment .
" Kya? Rakhne ke liye nahi layi mai! " Samia said frowning.
" Are.. Abhi nahi check kr sakti.. Subha karungi.. Cause that's better time to check.. Ab door open kr.. Pagal.. " Shehnaaz said once she kept the kit inside the drawer hiding it from his view.
" Theek hai.. Ek toh help kro upper se dant bhi suno.. "
The next day morning the first thing she did was to get up early even before him and then she got inside the washroom not before taking the kit with her.
Nervously she took out three to four sticks with her shivery hand and then dropped a few drops of urine and waiting for a while. She paced around the washroom nervously. She just wanted to see him happy. And the thought of him not wanting a baby made her heart break into million pieces. But then him being happy with her pregnancy made her jump with joy.
After a while she looked at it and squealed but then quickly shut her mouth up . Her face became red which happiness she felt. She just wanted to shout and tell everyone but she wanted to surprise him with this. All the sticks showed the two pink lines depicting her positive pregnancy.
" Shehnaaz.. Bacche wahan akeli kyun khadi yahan aa.. " She heard her mother calling her. With a smile she walked towards them.
" Pata hai.. Jab tu gyi thi na tab Aafan aise hi khush hua tha.. Isne toh baba se zid kr ke chocolates mangwayi thi ke ye school me sab ko ye khush khabri sunayega.. Ke iski behen hui hai.. Ek dum tujhe ek pal ke liye bhi alag nhi hota tha.. Sirf school ya tuition jane waqt hi alag rehta hai! " Habiba said chuckling remembering the childhood of her children who were now big while one is now a father of a baby girl.
" Kya mamma.. Ye kyun bataya aapne.. Ab itrayegi.. " Aafan said suppressing his chortle as he saw her angry puffed face.
" Accha? Bhabhi.. Sun rahi ho na aap.. " Shehnaaz whined walking up to her sister in law who was giggling all the while with tired face.
" Accha chalo.. Ab bahar.. Bhabhi ko rest krne do yaar.. " Saying so she went out with her mother.
" Mamma baba ko bataya aapne?! " She asked gaining a positive response from her mother. Meanwhile Aafan's in law's came to there hospital. After meeting and congratulating them Aafan suggested Habiba and Shehnaaz to go home.
" Aao tension mat lo.. I'll drive.. Mujhe aati hai car chalani.. Keys de do.. Driver ke haathon bhijwa dungi.. " Saying so shehnaaz took the keys from Aafan and went straight to her home with her mother
