Another angst

Idk why I keep writing angst in this book. Maybe it's cause I feel really bad for Dave and his past.

Once February rolls around, I'll write less angst, I promise (well, I'll try, unless more angst is what you want, idk :/)

Anyway, enjoy :/

It was late at night. You were at home, scrolling through Reddit or smth. Things were a bit bleak, until you heard something outside in the distance.

*POUND* *JAB* *STAB* *STOMP*

You heard some loud sounds coming from across the street. You jolt up in a panic, worried something bad happened. Immediately, you put on your shoes and dash outside. You go towards where the sound is coming from. You then learn that those jabbing sounds came from Dave's house. This made you panic even more.

You dash over to his house, and luckily, the door was unlocked. You see Dave, who's jabbing holes into the floor with his metal leg in an anxious manner. He was worrying about something. Anxious, you rush over to him and hug him from behind. Dave was startled by who had hugged him, but when he turned around and saw who it was, he was glad it was you.

"Dave! What happened? Are you ok?!" You ask, panicking. Dave is still jabbing his metal leg into the floor. "Shhh... it's ok, Dave, calm down... I'm here..." you say comfortingly. It took a while, but Dave finally calms down and stops jabbing holes. "I'm sorry you had to see that, Y/N. It's just...my bad memories are coming back...and in a very bad way..." Dave explains. You feel very remorseful for him. You hold his hand as a sign of comfort. "Dave, it's ok, I'll always be here with you, every step of the way. Everything's gonna be ok, I promise. Now, take a deep breath..."

Dave takes a deep, shaky breath, shaking a bit. "There you go...just ride out the storm, you'll be ok..." you say comfortingly. "But what if things don't turn out to be ok? We both know my bad memories will come back every once in a while. NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME-" you gave him a kiss on the lips to shut him up. He widens his eyes in shock, then closes them. You both break away, huffing for air.

"Dave, look at me...things may be looking bleak right now, but things will turn out ok in the end, I guarantee it." You say in a soothing tone. Dave hugs you back, feeling safe and better after hearing those words. "Thanks, Y/N..." he says. "My pleasure." You say.

You cuddle for a while, feeling even closer than before.
