WE SAT FOR AWHILE, just staring at each other. Shock has driven the both of us into a frozen pandemonium. He stood directly in front of me, trying to get myself to look at him. I, however, cowered in a wrapped up ball and tried my best not to go and do something terrible. So, I ran back up to my room. I ran as fast I ever could, knowing Rafe would fucking beat me to the room if I didn't. The last thing I need right now is him.
My hands fumble against the golden door knob as I try to lock it with my key, finally succeeding once I hear the lock hitch. I let my body calmly drag down against the cold door. Once I reach the floor, I start to cry. I bawl, sob, scream, and wail till there's not a single tear left in my eye. I felt extremely sick. None of this was okay in any way possible. It felt as if I'd just done an awful crime. I should be sentenced to treason for my drunken foolishness.
I knew I shouldn't have drank last night. I told myself not to drink because something like this exact accident would happen. What if he didn't wear protection? I'm not on pills. JJ actually is responsible. I swear to god if I'm-
"Faye, let me in please."
I ignore his ignorant voice.
"Faye. Please... I'm sorry this happened and-"
"Sorry really doesn't cut it, Rafe!" I shout back at him.
"Can you open the door, please. We need to talk this out, face to face," He says.
I slowly go to grab the key from my pocket; my hands are trembling.
I let the door click, letting him know that it's open. I let myself back away from the door as he bursts in with fury. His pants emit heavily and his hair is sticking to his sweaty forehead. He looks like he's been running for a 10k.
