Although it had been a while since we last entered the bustling roads of the night life, fleeting memories of the district highlighted just how different this festival took everything to a new level.

I wondered if they really did have such an extravagant Full Moon festival every month with how much more stalls, decorations, performances and people there was and why I never noticed it. Tengen-Sensei had warned me to keep alert as demons were more active due to how easy it was to conceal themselves against the crowd. However, we both knew that

So far tonight, our itinerary consisted of walking around A LOT, enjoying a quiet meal together, watching some performances that I had never experienced before and even playing a few competitive games.

Tengen-Sensei did not hold back and won all the games. Even so when he won the opportunity to pick a prize, he allowed me to do the honours and I selected a cute stuffed panda bear that was half my size.

I trailed along with my arms draping over it happily, appreciation at his gesture. We walked towards a more family oriented section with a few rides. I was amazed at the technology used to create such things. I stopped in my tracks when I spotted a face painting stall, eyeing out the old ladies painting on the kids faces. One of the kids walked away cheerily and had beautiful butterfly wings on their face, whilst another had a face of a tiger.

I grinned. Tengen-Sensei liked his make up, he had a weird red design on his eye he sported and I don't think I had seen him once without it. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we...

"Tengen-Sensei,"I turned about to propose to him idea. And within seconds we were both sitting on a chair getting our face painted.

The old woman was feigning over how handsome Tengen-Sensei was as she touched his face with her paint brush...and sometimes too many times with her other hand to 'get a more precise stroke with the brush' she had said. As if he didn't need the ego boost already

When we were both done, I looked over to Tengen-Sensei having a panda face and me with flowers embroidering mine.

"Why is yours so flashy and mine boring?"He said when we started walking around again.

"Yours isn't boring!"I exclaimed. "You're just like my cute panda bear toy. "

"Cute eh?"

I huffed. Why he gotta be like this?

"Again, so serious, it isn't flashy for your aura. You're so easy to stir up Y/N."

"Yeah well you're being a creep"

"Now I know you're just being defensive, but you always get so flustered when I tease you that I cannot resist. "

"Ugh that's creepy!"I shuddered in embarrassment. I was glad I had a bit of paint on to hide my rosy cheeks.

I felt a large hand grab my chin forcing me to look up at Tengen as he inspected. "Very pretty,"

As if I didn't feel flustered enough, it seemed I started to choke on my own breath at his sudden revelation. It was strange he had complimented me, it wasn't the same like the day he met me in the hospital or the time he back-handedly complimented my body when we went to get a flashy outfit for me. He wasn't just an acquaintance any longer that his compliment made it out more bashfully.

I yanked my face away from his grip and looked to the side. "Creep..."

I sighed as I felt his gaze still expectant on me.

"Tengen-Sensei..."I started. Back to trying to delve into opening up a little deeper with Sensei.

We still had a few things planned to do here, so I had some time to develop what to say to him perhaps on our walk back home when we were both still in a cheery mood. I looked over to the ferris wheel that had towered itself over the three storey homes. "Let's go on that!"
