*flashback*
"You guys are dicks." Luke said. The three boys started laughing and Luke rolled his eyes. He got up and walked to the kitchen to clean the ketchup off of his shirt.
Luke checked the time on his phone before walking back into the game room. The three boys were now seated on the coach playing video games. Luke grabbed his coat and headed towards the door.
"I'll see you guys later. I have to go meet Emma for dinner." Luke said.
"Lukey's got a girlfriend." Michael teased. Luke could feel his cheeks getting red.
Before the boys could say anything else Luke walked out the door and drove to Emma's house. He arranged a cute picnic for her and already had everything set up. The boys teased him about how cliché that is but he liked the idea of it. He pulled into the driveway of Emma's house and got out of the car, flowers in hand. He ran his hand through his hair and knocked on the door.
"Hey" Emma said. She had on a white summer dress that came down the her mid thigh and her short blonde hair was braided. Luke couldn't help but stare at her. He smiled and handed her the flowers. "Luke, these are lovely! Thank you." She kissed Luke on the cheek and followed him to the car.
After Luke opened the door for her he got in the car himself. He started to pull out of the driveway when his phone started ringing. Luke wasn't one to talk on the phone while driving so he finished pulling out of the driveway before answering.
"Hello?" Luke irratedly said. It was his mom calling and he wasn't surprised. She called him every time he went on a date.
"Luke.. Something happened.. One of your friends is dead."
