Pure anger rumbled through the stone walls of the institute

Pure anger rumbled through the stone walls of the institute. Dust drifted to the ground, seeming to fall from every crevice. The man ripped apart every room, searching for something long lost. Question is, lost where?

"Brother must you destroy our home? You're starting to scare the staff." The man with the long hair appeared out of thin air, hovering in the doorway of the room that was in the process of being destroyed.

"I cant find it" Spoke the other man.

"Find what?"

"My medallion"

"You lost your medallion?"

"No brother, I'm doing this for fun. Can you not imagine just the pure joy I'm experiencing at the minute?"

"Okay, message received. Our brother has called a meeting, he wants us all at there by 7pm and it is currently 6. So are we going to completely blow him off and keep searching for a stupid coin or are we actually going to be helpful?"

"You go, I need to stay, its important to me brother you know this. He will not be too angry as long as one of us turns up" He replies, not once taking his eyes off of his task. There are too many places for a small coin to have disappeared into, he can not afford to remain distracted.

"Of course, because brother would much prefer me there, not the man who single handedly created every war since the beginning of time. What a great plan"

"Please, Mammon, just go."

"I'm leaving, but if he has my head on a fork it'll be your fault" The slender man left the room, and with the smallest rush of air, he disappeared from sight.

"FUCK"

The roar shook the house, the staff already knew to be as far from the Lord as they possibly could. Undoubtedly,  death would be the nicest punishment they could receive for disturbing him in this moment. What the Lord didn't know, is that thousands and thousands of miles away, his precious coin sat in the palm of a Petrovna witch.

The witch in question had kept the coin, not finding any reasonable excuse to have done so, but somewhere deep down she knew there was an importance. A golden coin such as this couldn't be just some junk, right? She had stayed up the previous night, researching golden coin with dagger symbols but came up with absolutely nothing of worth. Well except from some old folk lore of the "Princes of hell" but that would make even the craziest elders in town laugh in her face. No, there had to be something more. But where would she look? She couldn't ask Rosa-Belle, she would throw her in the nearest insane asylum quicker than she could explain herself fully.

Weeks passed her by and Ellodie simply decided that the old coin was just something a tourist must of dropped, some weird marketing ran by the small town that she had never heard of. Anyway, she had far more important things to be dealing with, like the fact that as every day passed, her powers were dwindling and dwindling. Like water slowly flowing into a drain. Her sister had driven herself almost completely mad the past week, not sleeping, not eating, focussing solely on trying to find out why her sister was losing her magic. To a witch, especially a Petrovna, to lose ones magic is to completely lose her life force. The closer Ellodie became to being completely mundane, the closer she came to her death. They hadn't told their mother, they agreed that they wouldn't involve her until the girls became desperate, which was about a week away.

"Okay that's it, I'm telling mom"

"Rose! You promised me to keep her out, she doesn't need this on her plate right now, you know that as much as me"

"Ellie there is nothing more I can do! I have read every book, every grimoire, every website and I have used up every one of my contacts. No one has ever heard of a witch losing her magic. It just doesn't happen El."

"Well now it does, and it is happening, to me Rose. I wake up every single damn day not knowing whether it'll be the last one I have. So I apologise that I don't want to mom to know that she is losing another person she loves. You saw her after dad."

"Raymond deserved everything that happened to him and you know it. He knew the consequence of talking with demons and yet still he.... Wait" Ellodie saw the plan build in her eyes before she even said it out loud.

"No way Rosa-Belle."

"It's all we have left Ellie, just let me try. Please" Her sisters head dropped in silent defeat. Knowing this was the only way that she may be able to save herself, but it doesn't mean she has to like it.

"Fine, meet me tonight, witching hour, at the hanging tree. If it doesn't work tonight then I'm done Rosa."

"I'll be there sister"
