Nightmare Girl

             Marlee woke up screaming and sweat dripping down her face. Her bed covers were on the floor.

"Are you okay?" A soft voice asked.

"I-I do not know," Marlee replied.

Soon all of her dorm mates were around her bed. Marlee felt very embarrassed that she had caused a scene. Suddenly there was a nock on the door.

"May I come in?" Professor Mcgonagall asked, the girl who asked if Marlee was okay walked over to the door and let her in.

"Thank you Ms. Granger, what seems to be the problem here, a student came to get me saying there was screaming coming from this room."

Marlee's face became red knowing that it was likely the whole Gryffindor house heard her screaming.

"Sorry Professor, I had a bad dream."

Marlee fiddled with the sleeve of her pajamas wishing she could just disappear.

"Come with me please Ms.Parr"

Marlee gulped as got out of her bed.

"Back to bed for the rest of you."

Mcgonagall then started to leave the room, Marlee hurried after her into the hallway. In the hallway girls of all ages were looking to see what all the commotion was about. Marlee heard people whispering as she walked down the hallway into the common room. Mcgonagall led Marlee out of the common room down the hall and into her office.

"Have a seat Ms.Parr."

Marlee did as told, biting her lower lip. Questions rang inside her head, was she introuple, would Mcgonagall write to her parents? Marlee watched as the Professor took out a tin and opened it.

"Have a biscuit."

"Umm okay?"

Marlee was confused about what was going on but nevertheless she took a biscuit and started to nibble at it.

"Do you have nightmares often?" Mcgonagall asked.

"No" Marlee replied

"Would you like to talk about it?"

Marlee took a deep breath and nodded her head.

"Well its started with whispers then I began to fall. I fell in a forest, it was dark and cold, Then a troll started to attack me, I ran away and ended up in a clearing with a book, the book had weird pictures like a red stone."

At the mention of a red stone Mcgonagall's eyes widened.

"A pink toad, a goblet, a werewolf, and the dark mark." Marlee said the last part in a whisper.

"Someone said my name. I turned around and there was a snake-like person with red eyes, he pointed his wand at me and said the killing curse." She finished.

Marlee looked down at the table, hearing herself say the nightmare out loud made it even more ridiculous. Marlee brought her head up to see the professor's reaction.

"Thank you for sharing Ms.Parr."

"Look it's the nightmare girl"

Marlee sighed, It was the next day and she was in the library looking at a book about dragons. After the incident last night word had spread around the school about a first year girl who woke up screaming about a nightmare. Thus the students of Hogwarts decided to deem her nightmare girl.

"I heard you started crying for your parents, is that true nightmare girl?"

Marlee turned her head to look at the person and was not surprised to see a blonde slytherin boy.

"Leave me alone, Malfoy." Marlee sneered back.

"Getting mad, little nightmare girl?"

Marlee was fuming, it's only been 3 days of school and she already hated Malfoy

"Is this git bothering you Marlee?"

Marlee turned around to see Fred and George Weasley. Marlee nodded her head.

"You know George, I've been wanting to try out this new spell." Fred said with a big smile.

At those words Malfoy's eyes went big.

"You know Fred, I've been thinking the same thing." George then took out his wand and pointed it at Malfoy.

"Engorgio!"

Marlee's eyes widened as Malfoy's head started to grow.

"What have you done! Wait till my father hears about this!" Malfoy yells, gaining the attention of everyone in the Library including Madam Prince.

"Well Fred, Marlee, I think it's time we leave." George said while turning to the door.

Marlee grabbed her stuff and began to run after the twins. As they left the library Marlee could hear Malfoy's panic cries and Madam Prince's yells.

"Thank you" Marlee said to the twins as they entered the common room.

"No problem Marlee!" one of the twins said.

"Not to seem rude but why were you in the library?" Marlee asked.

"Hiding from professor Snape we put some dung balls in his office." Fred replied.

After thanking the twins and saying goodbye, Marlee headed up to her dorm to write to her parents about the horrible day she had.
