My Guardian Angel

Chapter 4

*Taehyun 1 years old.*

Today is Taehyun's first birthday. Beomgyu was excited to say the least. He saved Taehyun for a whole year.

The house was quiet as it was still dawn. Only Beomgyu and Hyunjin were sitting on the couch talking. Even though they have different motives, they quickly became good friends.

"So our baby is a year old huh?" Hyunjin said.

"Yeah he is, and don't say our. He's my baby, not yours." Beomgyu said and rolled his eyes.

"Well we're both looking after him right? So he's 'our' baby. Stop claiming him as yours I want him too." Hyunjin sarcastically whined.

"Stop acting like we're divorced parents. He's-" Beomgyu got cut off by a cry that only he could hear. A new ability for Guardian Angels, they can hear cries that a parent can't.

Beomgyu teleported into Taehyun's room and picked up the crying baby.

"Oh my sweet sweet baby. It's ok Beomgyu's got you. Shhh it's all gonna be ok now." Beomgyu bounced the baby up and down gently and kissed him softly on the cheek.

He heard footsteps coming in and looked up and saw the door open and the parent come in.

The parent had their own Guardian Angel so it didn't come to a surprise when she saw Taehyun floating in the air, meaning he was being held by someone.

"Good morning my sweet angel and good morning to his Guardian Angel as well." Taehyuns mom said as she took the baby from Beomgyu.

"Today is a big day for you..." Taehyuns mom talked to her son as she walked out.

Hyunjin summoned himself into the room and looked over at Beomgyu. They were going to be alone for half of the day.

Taehyun's mom was single. Taehyun was conceived after a one night stand. His mother decided she would keep him and that was the best decision of her life.

Since Taehyun was a baby, she had to bring him into work with her everyday. Beomgyu and Hyunjin obviously following along because of the things that could happen to a baby at a big office building.

Hyunjin himself had a couple rules, but they one rule he hated the most was that he wasn't allowed to do absolutely anything on Taehyun's birthday. Giving Beomgyu as sense of relief that on every February 5th, Taehyun would be 100% safe.

"So uh, shopping?" Beomgyu said as he looked back at Hyunjin.

"You know me so well." Hyunjin smiled at immediately teleported them to the nearest party store.

"So what do 1 year olds even like?" Hyunjin said as he searched for something for the surprise they had planned.

"Uhh nothing they can choke on. No streamers or anything like that." Beomgyu said back.

"So streamers, got it." Hyunjin skipped away to the streamers but got stopped when Beomgyu snapped his fingers. He tried to wriggle out. Damn Angel magic.

"I said no streamers. Be good today. You can't do anything bad. I'm in control. You do know even if you try to do anything remotely bad you'll get a small electric shock. Enough of those can cause severe damage so I'd be good if I were you." Beomgyu smirked and finally let Hyunjin go.

"Tch whatever. I'm irritated now can we hurry up and get this over with?" Hyunjin said now annoyed.

"Nope. It's his first birthday. We got to make it special!" Beomgyu said with a smile.

"There's nothing for him to even do! He'll get scared of the balloons, he can't eat candy, what the hell do children even do on their first birthdays. He's probably not even going to remember this!" Hyunjin said.

"Chill out Hyunjin. Although you are right. Let's get him some cookies for him to eat. His mom won't have time to make a cake for him, she's a busy woman." Beomgyu said.

They went to buy a two sugar cookies with icing on it. One for Taehyun and one for his mom. They bought 2 more for them of course.

They summoned back to their house and waited for the two to get home. They placed the cookies onto a little plate.

The two finally got home and was surprised to see the little treat left out for them. Taehyun's mom took out a simple candle and lit it.

Everyone started to sing to the now smiling and giggling baby.

"Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Taehyun
Happy Birthday to You"

It was finally time for Taehyun to be put to bed. His birthday over now. That means Hyunjin has free range for another full year. 364 days of keeping Taehyun safe and out of his clutches.

Beomgyu picked the baby out of the crib as this was their nightly routine. Taehyun wouldn't sleep without this being done.

Beomgyu went over to the rocking chair and held Taehyun in his arms. He stroked his head and kissed it. Taehyun laying his small head against his warm body.

"My sweet baby. I hope when you get older you'll be able to recognize me. You'll look at me and all the memories we shared will come floating back. Of course the memories don't come back until you're 18 so I'll just have to wait for you love. I'm going to protect you, I always have and I always will. I love you so much." Beomgyu kissed the baby's forehead gently and started to sing a soft lullaby.

Taehyun was finally asleep and Beomgyu stood up gently. He placed the baby into the crib and rubbed his hand gently across his soft skin.

"Sweet dreams sweetheart." Beomgyu finally said before laying down and falling asleep next to the crib with a blanket, pillow and air mattress he summoned.

What a fantastic day.
