Chapter title from True Blood 🩸 theme song "Bad Things" by Jace Everett.

Explicit warning, last part of chapter. Like, really explicit. Not going to hold back for at least this chapter and the next, so buckle up or skip. 😂 We've waited this long, so I'm going to give y'all every juicy detail.

"This just seems bloody irresponsible," Colleen declared as she tossed Ben's little clothes and his favorite stuffed animal into his rucksack. "Weren't Tonks's parents just interrogated by Death Eaters at their house? The very house we're sending Ben to?"

"Yes," Sirius admitted. "But with the Death Eaters very recently there, Tonks seems to think they'd have no reason to come back for awhile. And Snape confirmed the interrogations are planned and follow a formula, for now. Besides, Andromeda is my cousin, my family, and a wonderful witch. She'll spoil Benji rotten."

"And just who are they going to think Ben is? You're dead, remember?"

Sirius grinned. "Apparently I was a man-whore the minute I escaped from Azkaban, and Benji's Muggleborn mum's about to go on the run rather than register with the Ministry. So she contacted my cousin, the Auror, for help."

"Ben is five."

"Ehh... three...five...what's a couple years when you're a wizard and you can live to be 150 or more?"

"Sirius, this is never going to work. Ben has the vocabulary of a seven year old, at least."

Sirius sighed. "Okay. Here's the thing. Tonks is honestly just going to say it's a kid she's taken in. There's a lot of unrest out there with Muggleborns in a panic, so wayward kids coming on the radar of Aurors isn't that far-fetched. The whole post-Azkaban story was my flair thrown in. They'll probably omit that part. And if Dromeda discovers the truth— well, it's not the end of the world. The Tonks family can be trusted. Like you said, they were tortured by Death Eaters and didn't break. They're strong. It's good for Benji to be around his wizarding family. My family, not the damn traitorous Middlesworths."

"Tortured? Seems like an awful lot of risk just so we can get laid, Sirius. We're god-awful parents."

Sirius lifted her chin and gave her a peck on the lips. "You've been with Ben every single minute since Snape rescued him in February, except the one night we allowed ourselves a honeymoon. It's normal for parents to rely on others to help. And it's good for children to be around new people and see more than just the walls of their own home. Trust me, I know what it's like to be on house arrest. And honestly, Remus said Ted is thinking about fleeing himself before the registration deadline is up. There may not be that much time left for Benji to even meet them. Trust me— I saw Tonks up in the air that night they transferred Harry. She's one amazing witch, Colleen. And Remus is brilliant and can apparate with Benji quickly if needed. Our boy will be safe one night, and you deserve a night off...to bask in hours of sweet, mind-blowing pleasure at the hands of three magical beings."

Sirius's voice was husky and hypnotic in her ear, and Colleen leaned forward to rest her head on his chest. She took a breath to ground herself. They were bonded on scent, and his was like a drug to her whenever she was spiraling.

"Are you sure don't mind me being with Severus?" she whispered, needing to change the topic before her mum anxiety drove her insane.

"No," Sirius answered honestly. "Not sure at all. But I'm going to try to think with my other head tonight and let go. I had an idea, though, if you think you might be up for it."

"Oh, boy, here we go," Colleen said with a grin. "Whenever you say that, I literally have NO idea what might be going through your mind."

Sirius laid back on Ben's bed, stuffing a teddy bear behind his head. A five-year old's room probably wasn't the best setting for this conversation, but at least the boy himself was outside playing with Rhiannon. The witch had volunteered for the job to expedite Colleen's packing, obsessed with overseeing every task that day to make sure nothing jeopardized her master plan.
