Chapter title from "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mac. Trivia: the first book, "Within the Wings of a Storm" took all its chapter titles from Fleetwood Mac songs. "Tusk" is one of my faves, and I've been dying to use it in this series. I figured if I'm going to fit it in anywhere, I'll use its phallic metaphors for the chapter where our chaotic characters discuss DP. :)

A bit explicit again, but then we get back to plot. Promise!

Colleen was the first to awaken, as always. She was wrapped tightly in Sirius's embrace, with her own arms around Rhiannon and the witch's head resting on Severus's chest. The wizards' arms holding their wives laid casually on the other wife as well, a pose so natural it seemed as if they'd been at this for years. Now that she'd experienced it, Colleen could think of no better way to wake up. She felt unbelievably protected and treasured, and strong in her own right.

Part of her was in utter shock that the two wizards had actually spent the night together in the same bed— and naked at that. Would they be in denial when they woke up? Angry? Sirius normally slept open mouthed, dead to the world. But this morning he wore a peaceful smile on his face, as if his dreams were a continuation of the euphoria they'd shared the night before. Severus wasn't quite smiling, but he did appear relaxed— vulnerable, even. Could one night have done that much?

The last words they'd heard before falling asleep were Rhiannon's declaration that she loved them. Of course it was no surprise; love flowed through Rhiannon and bubbled over the way she and Sirius described the Amortentia fountain at the Ministry of Magic. Colleen still had trouble grasping what "love" meant when there were four people involved, but if it meant more nights like last night, and more mornings waking up so secure, warm, and blissful, then she was willing to figure it out.

Severus was the next to awaken. He didn't even look over to his companions right away, instead massaging his forehead as if the memories were enough to make him utter a mental "oh fuck" into the universe. The seconds seemed like minutes as Colleen waited for him to acknowledge her. She finally sat up to catch his attention, pulling the covers up over her bare breasts.

"Feeling modest all of a sudden, Colleen Black?" he greeted her in a quiet tone, obviously not ready to be bombarded by conversation and thinking it best to keep their more extroverted partners asleep.

"Just thought it would be best to assess everything as objectively as possible this morning," Colleen replied equally as softly. She already wished there wasn't so much distance between them. She would have liked to be in his strong arms again and cradled to his sturdy chest. Severus had been so much more tender with her than she had expected. There was such a disconnect between the harshness he projected and the behavior he displayed when one managed to break down some of his walls. Clearly the physical between them was going to be easier than conversation. Colleen didn't feel that was necessarily a bad thing; she just wished she was closer to him now.

Severus slung his legs over the side of the bed and stretched tall as he stood, body on full display in the daylight beginning to seep through the sheer green curtains. She knew from her experiences with Sirius that mornings came with erections, but the reminder of Severus's size took her aback. She felt her mouth drop open and she squirmed.

Gods, Colleen, are you going to want sex 24/7 now? Is that how this works? Your normal desires now times three?

Severus sent his bathrobe flying to him and covered quickly, exiting toward the bathroom without so much as a glance in her direction. She sighed disappointedly and snuggled back down between Sirius and Rhiannon. Sirius immediately situated her back in his embrace, and she felt his own throbbing wood against her thigh. Colleen caught a whiff of the witch's hair as she slept, and the perfume lured her back into a half-sleep state.
