(Song to listen to ⬆️)

'This is basically feeding her to the wolfs'  Feyre her name was, Kana could tell she didn't know how to read and the red head that was chained up was screaming at her. Feyre was obviously panicking. 'They must be good friends'  Kana had her arms folding in front of her, picking at her nails in worry. It was a bad habit of hers that she thought had left. Kana couldn't watch one moment longer. She closed her eyes and started praying to mother above.

"This is my prayer for you dear Feyre, that the mother above will make a way for you where there seems to be no way.
You will walk on a highway of greatness. Instead of curses, you shall be greatly blessed. Your little efforts will yield great results and your mouth should always be filled with songs of victory."

Kana opened her eyes. Feyre had reached for the 2nd lever but withdrew her hand and stared at it. Feyre tried for the second again but withdrew almost as quickly. Then she reached for the 1st and withdrew her hand again. Fae around Kana were murmuring. "What is she doing?" A nearby red head questioned. One that look identical to him said "I have no idea."

Feyre pulled the 3rd lever... Silence. Kana let out a breath and thanked the mother above. Feyre fell to the ground but immediately stood up and stood looking Amarantha in the eye before pivoting on her foot and walking out. Amarantha growls echoed around the room in the uncomfortable silence.

Kana decided to explore since she had been hiding out for the past month? She didn't know how much time pasted since she entered. She crept down hallways and stairs until coming up to a dungeon with a few cells lining the walls. She saw guards patrolling and slunk further into the shadows. "That human girl is probably cheating" The first guard said "Maybe your right, I mean she's on the third task. Amarantha's going to make it torture." The second guard replied. They both walked past the corner Kana was hiding in. As soon as their voices faded she stalked towards peering into each cell until she heard crying...

Kana crept towards the noise until she came upon a cell that was hidden by a corner. "Hello?" Kana said lightly. The crying stopped abruptly. "W-who's there?" A shaky voice replied. "I'm afraid I can't answer that but are you okay?" She said peering into the cell bars. She spotted a figure shaking in a dark corner. The mystery person stayed silent. "May I ask who you are?" The figure shifted to the light. It was Feyre.

"Feyre, the human girl worthlessly fighting for the spring courts high lord." Kana pursed her lips. "I know who you are, sorry you were hiding in the shadows I couldn't tell." Kana took the time to observe Feyre. She had golden-brown locks framing her slim face. Her blue-grey eyes filled with fear. Her clothes covered in mud and blood. Feyre nodded "Why are you here?" Kana didn't answer so Feyre assumed she wasn't supposed to be here.

Kana heard footsteps and shifted into the shadows that cloaked the corner of the short hallway. 1 guard rounded the corner. Kana glanced over at Feyre while the guard took his position in front of her cell. Feyre was looking over at the corner Kana slid into. Kana motioned for Feyre to turn around. She did as asked. Kana checked her dagger was at her side. She slid out of the shadow walking towards the guard. "Uh hi?" Kana said almost a whisper. The guard was immediately on defence. "What are you doing down here?"
"I got a bit lost going back to my room, could you help me back?" Kana said the lie falling off her tongue perfectly.

The guard looked her over before saying. "I'll get somebody to come" Kana said her thanks and leant on the cell next to the guard. Before the guard could even call somebody. He was on the floor dead. Neck snapped. "I never liked that sound" Kana said frowning. "Feyre, I have to go now, keep trying for Prythian please." Feyre nodded not turning around in fright of seeing the guards body.

Kana dragged the body and hid it in the shadow she was in before. She quickly walked away before another guard came.

the day of the 3rd task

Kana shook with nerves as she pushed herself to the front of the crowd. Even if she wasn't doing the task, she still was afraid. If Feyre died doing this, Kana had to run. Never looking back again. Every high lord was gathered there watching from the sidelines apart from Tamlin, who was next to Amarantha like usual. Soon enough Feyre was dragged into the hall. The entire room silent. Amarantha smiled as she stopped in front of the throne.

"Two trials lie behind you," Amarantha said, brushing dust off her blood-red gown. "And only one more awaits. I wonder if it will be worse to fail now — when you are so close." She pouted, waiting for the laughs. Only guards laughed. Every fae in the room watched silently as if somebody had just died. Amarantha glared at the crowd. She smiled a sugary smile. "Any words to say before you die?"

Feyre turned her attention to Tamlin. "I love you." She said "No matter what she says about it, no matter if it's with my insignificant human heart. Even when they burn my body, I'll love you. Feyre was crying Kana noticed. Tamlin stayed silent. Amarantha laughed. "You'll be lucky, my darling, if we have enough left of you to burn." I almost growled at those words. Feyre stayed silent as did the rest of the room.

Amarantha propped her chin on a hand. "You never figured out my riddle did you?" Kana hadn't known there was a riddle. Amarantha gave a blinding smile after Feyre didn't answer. "Pity. The answer is so lovely"

"Get it over with" Feyre said suddenly. I didn't hear the rest until Amarantha clapped her hands twice.
